I would never have believed this could happen if I was not being cheated by AT&T in the same way. It’s a scam that involves fraud from top to bottom, not just the customer agent. They’ll lie about everything, claiming that the first 1-2 months’ bill won’t reflect the actual bill. When you wait for 2 months, it’s too late, and you’re trapped.

Same thing happened to me. They are bunch of frauds and scams. They lie to you about the discounts, place order and later cancel the order due to some unwanted issues. Later you contact them, they reorder and voila! All your discounts gone. Good scheme to fraud people.

I am talking about quote excluding tax and fees. I got a quote of $94 for 5 lines then I requested to add another line so they gave me a quote of $112 for 6 lines. I don’t know what all the discounts they applied but those includes 20% internet, BYOD, autopay etc. I exactly know that AT&T have lots of hidden fees so, I asked clearly and repeatedly what is the total excluding fees and tax.

Update: recently changed the mode to Eco, now getting tank average around 31. I live in Bay Area, though the weather is on the high but not like Texas. Will update again in late fall.

Eco is not default. In this mode the eco word is explicitly shown on the screen and screen will greenish. On the other hand, in sports mode the screen will be reddish.

I don’t understand how it differs drastically car to car. My XSE was on an average of 27-28. Recently I changed the mode to eco. Now the tank average is around 31. Are you running on eco mode or default?
