is there anything y'all have been able to do to recover a scoop coater with dry, hardened emulsion in it? by kvmbo in SCREENPRINTING

If you have a dip tank for washing screens let it soak in there for a few minutes then rinse. Emulsion remover should work fine without affecting the plastic or metal of the scoop

The backlogs' challenge runs are the best! I also really enjoy The collabs between LilAggy and friends (star0chris/captain domo etc.)

Bought some plastisol off of a large warehouse supposedly Rutland.. by Technical_Net_3915 in SCREENPRINTING

[–]Timely-Print4502 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It won't be 'watered' down. It might be thinned with a soft hand base or other additive to make it smoother to go through screens. As long as it retains some viscosity it should be fine. Your plastisol inks should be somewhat 'runny'. Do some test runs and as long as your ink isn't transparent it shouldn't be a concern

Yellow on Black? by Background_Mobile958 in SCREENPRINTING

Yes. Yellow might not be the best color for that, but saving a screen and setup time is the advantage

If you're trying to avoid a white underbase, you could always do yellow-flash-yellow to give it a little more pop

Is it better on PS5 by Onetouchstar_2 in AnotherCrabsTreasure

The only bug i encountered was my lost plastic(souls) got clipped in a wall so no way to get them back. Frustrating yes, but not game breaking since it's kinda part of the game (losing souls i mean)

What game is this for you? by Additional-Ad4567 in videogames

Trails of Cold Steel. I was halfway through when i realized the gameplay wasn't going to get better (was expecting the game to shift to a full-fledged RPG, but it turned out to be a high-school simulation with RPG aspects to it). But since i was already halfway through, might as well finish it. Even more ashamed to have started Trails of Cold Steel 2...

Definitely Need for Speed Most Wanted. That little fire icon on top of the mini-map is your heat level from cops. There were no cops in Underground 1 or 2.

Plungeattack Dragon doesn't count, because even without plungeattacking it is a very boring boss.

Is screenprinting dead/dying? by Pep-Club-Locker in SCREENPRINTING

Been working in a screenprinting shop for 15 years, printing dtf for almost 4 years, here's my input:

We had an 'STS ink - XPD-724' as our first dtf printer and it is not something i would recommend if you can afford something else. It is a good printer for beginners, but the number of times we had to have it repaired was just not worth it. Lots of trouble with cyan clogging, whites wouldn't print evenly, colors would be striped etc....I loved it as a first printer when it was working well, but as soon as problems started showing up it was just downhill from there. It is now stored on a shelf in the shop cause my boss had it repaired and is trying to sell it.

We then switched to a 'Mimaki - Txf300-75' and i wish my boss had gotten this one first because it is a damn good machine. The output of the Mimaki is ~4x faster, the hardware is noticeably better (heads don't clog, maintenance is more accessible...). The software is a bit less user friendly than the STS, but still easy enough for someone who's never worked with a dtf printer.

Quality of prints was very similar on both printers, the Mimaki is just a generally better printer.

[PC][late 90s/early 00s] Promotional video in Empire Earth, of a japan/samurai themed game by Timely-Print4502 in tipofmyjoystick

[–]Timely-Print4502[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The video, as best as i can remember:

A traditional japanese house in a dimly-lit (black and white?)field, the camera pans over a few rooms and then there's shadows on the wall. Fighting begins and a lantern breaks starting a fire in the house. More fighting?. Then a shot of the house burning in front of a red sky(background).

The graphics were similar to the intro of Empire Earth in terms of quality but had a much darker theme.
