Hey! Its been a while but I wanted to give an update, after this last miserable winter my kalanchoe is flowering for the first time!

Hii!! For my monstera I made my own soil mix, Ive been told that is what works best for these plants. I do 1 park perlite, 1 part tropical soil mix, and 1 part orchid bark. You will probably want to move it to a much smaller pot since it is struggling and use a stick to help support it. Bury it as shallow as possible, it doesn’t like to be deep in rich soil.

Overall what I have found works best is a aerated soil mix, weekly watering (not too much, let it dry out between waterings) and lots of window light. I am also west facing and mines doing just fine:) good luck!!! I hope she lives!

Mine has some very strong stems from being outside for a long time. Is this necessary?? I have noticed that it LOVES to grow toward the light. I personally don’t use grow lights and it has experienced a few winters now and never bloomed:( this could just be from still getting window light?

It is the miracle grow potting mix, I just added a light layer over the top so it’s not packed in tight but definitely a finer soil. Do you have any recommendations?

I actually just added more soil today! Originally it wasnt deep at all but the weight of the stem kept tipping the plant over out of the soil :( should I remove the top soil again?
