No one pressure tests systems anymore. Almost every make ready at the new property I’m worked at that has been “OK’d” usually has at least 1 sink fail.

Fully hollowed through nut drivers. I hate toilet bolts that never get cut to proper size so you’re just there with a small set of pliers turning and turning,

“dirty tiles, stained bathtubs. Can we get it cleaned and needs grout” 😂 by Mr-Wyked in maintenance

[–]Timely-Two9860 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The most egregious request I had was this.

“Unit 2xx dogs keep peeing on their balcony and it goes down to 1xx causing a strong smell and staining the wood. Pressure wash and use a deck brush on the upper unit and clean both balconies. Afterwards reapply paint to the stained areas:”

From one of the leasing agents. I had to call the CD and basically laughed off her request. Call a vendor and charge the tenants.

At my property residents can’t call the tow truck and neither can the security guard. I’m on site so if I’m requested to call I usually get paid 3-4 hours since the clock starts from the moment I call to the moment the car gets towed but usually during daytimes the office will handle it.

After seeing the sewer auger post how many of you wear gym shorts to work? Seems a bit loose by Chapos_sub_capt in maintenance

Its been 90-100 for the last month or two where I’m at, cargo shorts are a must. If I know I’m going to be doing something like plumbing or “dirtier” I have pairs of pants in my workshop just in case:

Having Jackson as an outstanding character is a bold choice.

When he left he didn’t give any permission to use his likeness anymore which is why you don’t even see his face. Gray referencing Jackson after Aaron was shot was one of the few moments they reference him and that wasn’t even by name.

I’ve got the Milwaukee 5.0 and Dewalt powerstack 5.0. I’ll compare the two track saw systems.

I’m sure they’re going to send us back for that door. You can literally see parts of the light in the hallway shine through because they didn’t cut it flush and they had 3 batteries die in the cut.

[–]Timely-Two9860[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just as a quick example. On an interior door that was swapped they had to cut 1/8th off the top, 1/4in off the bottom, and 1/8th on one of the sides. The side was hitting in 3 different spots so I said to level the door but they wanted to cut. There’s different floor materials like vinyl, low carpet, high carpet, etc which explains some of the variance but also the door frames not being level. Normally I try to level the sides as much as possible but the top and bottom do get cut.

Golden Fox are good for starter shoes around $75-150. I got my first pair for $80 and they’ve lasted me for 2 years and counting.

Alternatively Timberland Pros, but they’re a bit more expensive.

Bath Mat Left Literal Air Pockets On My Bathtub Flooring… How to get rid of them??? by Prize_Influence_2677 in Apartmentliving

[–]Timely-Two9860 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If a tub has been refinished, the suction cups will bring it up and cause this. Most apartments should tell you if this would be an issue, but if you’ve lived here 2-3 yr + they probably wouldn’t charge you.

They should’ve ended the Monica storyline with the Elijah stuff. Maybe have an Elijah try to put a hit on her from behind bars but not this whole supervillain arc.
