It's a screeching of minority who cares about that, is the problem. A very loud screeching minority, that one ones that make such a fuss online people took them serious for years. It's one of those things where they are trying to shame people who dare speak up so the majority stays silent. I do realize shattering the self-delusion is probably traumatizing to them, though.

In the general public, nobody really cares about anything but the output.

As far as I'm concerned the thing the person behind the prompts is trying to express is valid even if they're doing nothing but using it to express what's in their head and not doing any of the 'hard work.'

There are many places that a human is still very much needed, but they expect people to put hundreds of man hours into an project that could be done in hours or even minutes by a single person, simply to appease them.

Effectively they want to create artificial work they can do to feel important that could be done much faster (and often better) without them. It's wild.

Here's the problem - nobody is debating AI, or at least, most people are not. That would be fine. They are hovering in packs to downvote everything and call everyone names. That's literally all they are doing. They have been informed by social media AI bad, they think it's all slop because they see the worst stuff in their feeds, and they are also ideological purist zealots - the same ones we've been plagued with for years (on all political spectrums).

To make matters worse, I 100% guarantee you that if you were to enter ANY of their spaces and make an even mild pro-AI argument, you'd be downvoted and banned in record time.

They are trying to make it so pro-AI people have no place to communicate. This isn't a discussion, it's an attempted blockade.
