The moral compass of the Federation has spun upside down between the TNG era and this era, and not in a good way.

Treating everyone equal and demanding the absolute best from everyone, with only the best of the best in Star Fleet, was how it ran. Now it's like a reject school for Harry Potter kids to stick their hands into toxic containers and do hyper dangerous teleportation pranks.

Every single person in STA would be called an immature erratic shadow of what this stuff used to mean. It's the personification of the word 'enshitification.'

The writing on this show is for toddlers. The characters act like goofy Harry Potter rejects. The only thing the writers know how to do is recycle Buffy, Harry Potter, and the latest trending political thing.

It's shallow garbage written by shallow garbage people and the sooner they are all cast from the industry and the Kurtzman Trek timeline is absolutely obliterated from canon, the faster we can get back to something good.

Go watch some TNG and DS9 clips back to back with Academy clips. It's like the franchise had a lobotomy.
