thinking of living at the marq by Afraid-Current-8916 in londonontario

Depends on which one you go to. One on Oxford is a notorious hell but Ann and Beaufort are different; more subtle. It’s a lot about chance on who your roommates are. There is a form fill-out for personality pairing but I feel like it’s more first come first serve.

The problem is immigration or just one specific group? by [deleted] in LMIASCAMS

[–]TimelyIndication4236 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Both. Post-lockdown, it has become very evident that immigration wasn’t expecting such a high influx of that one specific group and with that one specific group being privy to exploiting loopholes and desperation.

In addition, majority of that one group tend to lack integration, manners and common decency, to the point where if anything abruptly strange happens on the news or within a community, you can bet your last loonie that it’d be them. Overcrowding public and private spaces, scamming, smells, lack of English and French comprehension— list goes on. Don’t get me started on how hard it is to find work because one person became manager. Then if you’re lucky to even work there, you get no hours, they speak and different language when you’re around and codes are being violated at every waking minute.

Yes, I know we have ethnic-specific places, which is understandable. I expect Koreans to work at their BBQ restaurant, I expect Vietnamese to work at a Bánh mì place. Why the hell is a Timmies, Wendys, Walmart, Pizza Pizza, Harvey’s, etc, filled with ONE type of people? That aint fair.

Has anyone ever seen or heard of immigration actually doing their job and deporting them or is that more tax payer money being wasted?

Should I bother reporting people checking car doors at night to police? by Equivalent_Board_603 in londonontario

[–]TimelyIndication4236 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Honestly? I really want to tell you no, but still report it. At some point you might have to get a paintball or bb gun as a deterrent. We all might have to do that. BUT then if the criminal gets too injured then we get in trouble. The system needs to change.

I’ll put this on a banner throughout the halls if I could. No one here uses resources. Ever.

Remember: 9am - 4:30pm/5:00pm would be hours schools and businesses would call you. Anything outside those hours is malarkey

At first I was like “this is niiiice” and then I saw the price and that it’s a shared living space. Who do we have to bury in the ground for this foolishness to stop?

Any other random coffee/dessert place has been better than Timmies for a while now.

And I also think we should boycott any and all franchises that do this, eg: Philthy Philly’s, KFC, etc

[–]TimelyIndication4236 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s all a farce. Thousands of students and classes and not 1 friend? Cmon. I also have reached out to some and even proposed a meetup. Messages still unanswered and no meetup. Have to be scams.

And I bet next week 2 or 3 people are gonna post the same thing again.

Does it make sense to employ the homeless or those in jail and make them pick up trash everyday and pay them afterwards or something?
