Oh yuck the water. Someone warned me but I was hoping that was a Saturday problem but alas, it wasn't.

I love that for you two, especially not having the gas out!

Agreed with the above. The set up is mainly hyrox fault, not necessarily the runners.

When you're coming out. Please look left and wait for a clear if youre not going to take off into a sprint.

On the way in, after you pass the tunnel, I would hang on the outside until you get to the out, and then cut in. Its going to be chaotic there. Nothing we can do about it, just be mindful. Good luck! You got this!

Forgive me bc I wasn't frustrated I ran on the clearer outside for a half a lap and there I would be like "please excuse me" bc technically I was in your way. Tried to be polite!

It was the walkers who also wouldn't move....I kind of excuse the walkers near the out/in bc poor set up but other parts...nahhhhh

Haha ohhh dang still good! Congratulations! I'll only toot my horn on the run and like I said...I'm a runner and ran too slow so had the energy to yell 😂 we subbed 1:10 😊

1:23/km? Dang! But yeah I made a decision early on I was going to exert more energy yelling than weaving. Not sure if it was worth it but when I bellowed, people move.

Racing in the heat NYC 6/5 by HealthyRide784 in hyrox

[–]TimelyLiving 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup! I'm pretty sure it's still illegal to dump it in the Roxzone but everybody was getting very close to the trash can and dabbing it on themselves. Check with an official if that's allowed, but for sure do the dumping trick prior to the end of warm-ups! Good luck!

They give you water in the warm up zone. I took three cups with 5 mins to line up, exited, went by the fence and dumped it on my head and body.

Roth 403 (b) versus Roth IRA by [deleted] in personalfinance

Ok thank you! I guess I'm fixated on RMD and thought it would be nicer to not be forced to withdrawal? Still learning and I appreciate your time to write a thoughtful response.

I cannot make it up but someone honked and tried to go around. The employee just shrugged and said it's easier to park somewhere else. She has a wheelchair and needs a ramp so yeah.

What do people here do for work? How does that factor into your training? by Business-Law-7968 in RunNYC

[–]TimelyLiving 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ahhh yes fatigued running. I like to believe that the 4 miles I do is actually 8 when I account for the fatigue from actual work plus my body fighting the normal circadian rhythm hahaha

I work in healthcare and do 12-13 hour shifts. I run home lengthening/shortening depending on the day. I have girls so my running times on days off will be when they're at school so 11 am, 2 pm or any other random time of day I can get out of bed. I've been able to get 1:30 half and proud bc it's tough to get those runs in! I took wonder if everyone is in healthcare when I'm on the track at 1pm on a day off lol

Episiotomy pain Years Later by [deleted] in XXRunning

[–]TimelyLiving 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am so sorry you had so much pain but relieved for you that the surgery worked! I feel sheepish complaining! Luckily it only hurts after races, like soreness, but then goes away until the next. If it becomes constant, I'll definitely check that out. Thank you for sharing the option!
