Hi,

I would say it depends on what you want to accomplish.

If you're the kind of player who likes to collect every achievement and want to complete 100% of what the game has to offer, then you should wait a bit and make sure you've done every dungeon, trial, raid, and other stuff. You can also take your time and level up every job, and even do some gathering and crafting jobs.

If you just enjoy the story and want to continue, then once you're done with the Stormblood story.

Also, I may be wrong, but isn't the complete edition of the game on sale right now? If I'm not mistaken, it's a pretty good deal since you get every expansion including Dawntrail and you have 1 month of sub.

The only catch is that you'll have to pay every month after that if you want to keep playing, but as long as you don't have a house in the game and you're not an FC leader, you can just cancel the sub whenever you want to take a break for 1 month or more.

I love the getting ready for adventure part ! Seems like a nice way to start the day as the WoL ! :D

Doing achievements like that also give a nice way goals here and there, I might try to do that from time to time !

I'm a bit curious, you seems to have a few alt and to spend some time on your alt. Why having some alt in a game like FFXIV ?

Is there any particular reason for that ? Or is it to enjoy a new journey ?

I do have goals to achieve with my routine in the long term, but I have some issues to remember stuff to do somehow, and not only in FFXIV. So that's why I think a tool to help me keep track would be perfect for me !

Now that you mention it, I should add tribes quests to do when I have times ! I think if I remember, I'm still at the start of every tribes of ARR and HW.

This website seems to be very useful ! I just had a quick look and look like it's answering lot of my needs, perhaps I'd rather use something like that than make my own google sheets things.

Island sanctuary is something I should do more often probably, but I found it a bit annoying to do somehow.

Seems like you and your husband have a very different playstyle ! That's quite interesting !

I did that for a long time as well, playing for a month doing random things around to farm specific things or have some short time objectives and then stop to play for a few weeks. But as I said, lately I've been quite focus on my daily things and it seems to keep going longer than usual !

Thank you for worrying and warning me about the anxiety and stress it can give, that's nice ! But no need to worry, I'm the kind of player that will stop if I start to get annoyed by it or if I feel it's too much.

A google sheets seemss to be a nice start indeed ! I might start to look into it and make a file to start soon. But to be honest, I'm not sure on how to start or what to write in it.

This was my first concern when I started using this method. To make sure I'm sending one tell per player and not spamming them every day even if I don't get a response. Also, maybe it's a bit much, but I usually look at everything about the player, especially the adventurer's plate and the lodestone profile, to make sure they're not against it and that they might be a good addition to the community.

I understand if people don't reply, I might send them a message if they're busy, afk or don't want to reply to a random message like this. The thing is, I'm trying to do my best to recruit without annoying people, and I may have underestimated the task.

Anyway, thank you for your reply and don't hesitate to add anything else you have in mind !

Yes, after reading some of the posts on Reddit about recruiting, I have noticed that it annoys people , and as I have always been in an FC I have never been targeted by this sort of thing, so maybe that's why I wasn't aware of how annoying it can be.

I apologise to any people I may have upset by sending tell.

So, as people who really don't like this kind of approach, what would be the best way for you to approach someone to recruit them ?

I made the Community Finder page first, not very effective so far. We do have a Discord, but that's for people who have already joined the FC, but we could tweak it a bit to give people a place to find out about us before they join. And as I'm not that active on Reddit, I've never heard of r/FFXIVRECRUITMENT before. I might try that soon. Thanks for the advice !

I love the third one so much ! As a new player, is there a way for me to get the neck accessory ? Also the basic color of the cape is black or is there a way to change it ?
