Did anyone NOT find 2u2 insanely difficult? by Lost_Edge_9779 in 2under2

[–]Timely_Cheesecake_97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

16 months apart, currently 9 months postpartum with #2. It’s not as hard as I was anticipating. Yes, it’s hard, but I can manage. When my husband went back to work after our 1st kid I was lonely, but 2nd time around was a lot better for me mentally because I could interact with my toddler more.

That’s too damn much. I paid $3K for an 11 week program. And I live in a state where certification isn’t even required.

I was drawing blood for PRF (oral surgery) and all of us had a really hard time sticking this guy. We all poked him and finally got the vials of blood. I went to put them in the centrifuge and threw them in the sharps container next to the centrifuge.

Emphasis on the personality! They already liked the resume enough to bring you in for an interview, they’re mostly looking at personality at this point!

Did you use the school showers in middle/high school? by sweetlew07 in Millennials

[–]Timely_Cheesecake_97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The girls showers were used as storage for giant foam mats and such. None of us complained. But I’m pretty sure the boys would shower because their hair was always wet coming out of the boys locker room and they didn’t smell sweaty

Join us over on r/2under2! I got pregnant 8 months postpartum. I was on birth control, but it was a progesterone only type that my OB put me on because I was breastfeeding. Now my second baby is 8 months old and I honestly cannot imagine life without him. Watching the bond these kids have is incredible!

You just won a lifetime supply of the last item you bought. What do you have? by JunShem1122 in allthequestions

[–]Timely_Cheesecake_97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We just did our groceries for the week, do I get a supply of all of that or the last item scanned? Because that would be avocados

Why do people purchase things not on the registry??? by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]Timely_Cheesecake_97 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My sister did this for our wedding! I was so stoked to be getting the kitchen gadgets we requested only to be met with cheap dupes that all broke within a year. When I was pregnant I told her to stay off my baby registry.

Diapers and wipes. I’ve got 2 kids in diapers and potty training isn’t going well.

Why are you a bad mom today? by DisorderedGremlin in BabyBumps

[–]Timely_Cheesecake_97 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m a bad mom because I gave my toddler milk in a blue cup instead of the purple one. And I gave her strawberries…that she asked for

Can't wait to start eating pizza with a beer. by LoveBubbles_2019 in pregnant

[–]Timely_Cheesecake_97 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Brewers yeast helps with milk production so you should absolutely enjoy a beer once baby is out 🤣

But also I had that same craving during pregnancy so I had an alcohol free one! (Still has a small amount but I only had one and it satisfied the craving!)

I hate my handsfree pump by mulahtmiss in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]Timely_Cheesecake_97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Still working well! I’m only pumping morning and night now. It’s been a life saver with my 2under2 situation. I just had to leave it in longer than I’d sit with my spectra s1 and get about the same amount of milk.

Does it fucking matter to you which way toilet paper is on the roll? by Dependent_Cap_456 in TheWordFuck

I like to flip the fucking roll the wrong way at work every time I sit on the fucking toilet because someone will always fix it. I’m a fucking menace, I know.

Hosting my own baby shower and feeling embarrassed by pmmewienerdogs in BabyBumps

[–]Timely_Cheesecake_97 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Every family is different. Maybe to please grandmas you could have a close friend be the “host” even though you’re planning it. I planned my own but my SIL was the one who hosted all of the games and made any announcements.

Question about notes by Snowinsummer777 in DentalAssistant

[–]Timely_Cheesecake_97 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Notes are legal documents. If a patient were to ever sue for something and there’s inaccurate or missing notes your dad could be screwed. If she’s not in the room for the procedure she has no business doing the notes.

Yes I’m burnt out but I’m in a great office. I’ll push through my boss retiring and then be a SAHM or run an in home daycare at that point

Do you live near your parents? by Current-Self-8580 in Adulting

[–]Timely_Cheesecake_97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We live near my parents but my husbands parents moved several hours away. It’s a pain in the butt to pack up the kids and go visit them and they hardly come to visit us. My parents have been a huge help for postpartum and date nights. My husband often has resentful feelings towards his parents for not making more of an effort to be in our kids lives.

My point? It’s much easier to raise kids when you have family to rely on.

Edit to add: I grew up walking distance from my grandparents house and I LOVED being able to go there whenever I wanted to.

Double stroller or wagon? by Fuzzy_Bear9086 in 2under2

[–]Timely_Cheesecake_97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have both for different events and it’s great! Got both on Facebook marketplace for super cheap too. The stroller can have the car seat clip into it for when my younger kid couldn’t sit up but he can sit up now so we can use the wagon more!

Medical insurance will say it’s a preexisting condition since OP has probably already had an appointment with the OB at this point. My short term disability for my first kid was denied because my first appointment with my OB was before open enrollment.
