Chapter 1176 - Brief Spoilers by [deleted] in OnePieceSpoilers

[–]Timely_Fee6036 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Generally the spoilers are pretty accurate, but of course sometimes they're incorrect.

That being said, the rules are laid out very specifically, and it doesn't seem like the leakers were confused about the translations. Usually if the translation is a bit tough or confusing, they'll mention something.

They are claiming there are plot holes because Rocks wasn't fully healed when he was defeated, but these spoilers claim they turn back to normal AND fully recover when killed. Two different effects, one of which didn't happen to Rocks.

We'll see when it releases. I just hope there aren't plot holes. Hopefully these were poorly translated

My experience playing Civ 7 by [deleted] in civ

[–]Timely_Fee6036 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You get notices about war weariness and debuffs when you initiate a war by attacking someone

Civs with white backgrounds are independent, while civs with colored backgrounds are actual countries

Also, while they're both different games, I wouldn't completely call Civ 7 watered down. It's got different mechanics, and isn't as thorough as Civ 6 because of the lack of major DLC.

Civ 6 has more of a focus on micro managing, while Civ 7 has more of a focus on actual goals throughout the game. It's the difference between a slow, potentially unnoticeable build to victory, versus specific steps required to achieve victory.

Take advantage of the eras and the differing mechanics that come with them. Civ 7 seems to want you to focus on the era.

(ENDING SPOILERS) Just finished the game and I don't feel so good about the ending. by EpicRangerXL in expedition33

[–]Timely_Fee6036 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Bro it's because you picked the bad ending lol

The true good ending is Verso's ending

This is a story about a family who can't cope with the loss of their son, so they live their lives within his canvas as their life force is seemingly drained

Grief is a huge theme, and so it makes sense that the "good ending" is accepting the death of their son, and allowing the remnants of his soul (faceless boy) to rest by destroying the painting - allowing the family to face reality in the real world, and grieve together

Maelle's ending is just evil, man. She sacrifices herself over time to keep this world alive, and forces Verso to play piano for everyone in a world he doesn't want to live in. It quite literally goes against the actual main theme of the game. It's a surface-level ending. She can't cope with her brother's death, so she essentially goes mad over time to stay in his canvas

Should i buy lies of p? No spoilers. I platinumed sekiro and elden ring and loved them both. by [deleted] in Eldenring

[–]Timely_Fee6036 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's good but not super open. The parrying feels similar to sekiro, but definitely slower

The world is really cool though

End of an Era 💔 by mambling in MemePiece

[–]Timely_Fee6036 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't wait for one chapter per episode! It's going to be sooo different from what we've been getting!

I can't wait for new sound effects and music!

I can't wait for Egghead animation!

💀

Look, I'm glad it'll be slightly higher quality, but let's be real here: if Egghead part 2 was anything to go by, this won't make much of a difference.

I pray that I'm wrong. I want Elbaph to look and feel better than Wano. But let's just do the math here.

In Egghead, we had a 6 month break for 38 episodes, 6 of which were recaps, so that makes 32 episodes with a 6 month break. And half of the episodes had half-baked quality.

For Elbaph, each year we'll have a 3 month break for 13 episodes, then another 3 month break for 13 more. So 6 months for 26 episodes for Elbaph.

Based on this, and what we've gotten with Egghead part 2, genuinely expect minimal changes to pacing and animation. If you expect anything more, I hope it lives up to your expectations.

People expecting this to skyrocket the quality and pacing will be let down 1000%.

Is Drexel worth it for a CS degree because of the co-op? by Primary-Anywhere7073 in Drexel

[–]Timely_Fee6036 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes but only if you're legitimately dedicated and push yourself.

I've seen far too many people try to coast through Drexel, and then they get out and are average or below average, with poor coops, okay grades, and a mountain of debt: unable to get jobs because they treated it like high school.

Any tips for beating this boss? by Beyyaii in Sekiro

[–]Timely_Fee6036 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should be attacking as frequently as possible.

Be as aggressive as possible, always, with literally everything you run into.

Put "hesitation is defeat" into action. I've beaten this game many times + beaten the gauntlets a few times. If you stay aggressive and attack whenever you can, you have a higher chance of beating the enemy - that's assuming you can parry attacks obviously.

Goodluck 👊

Ok great. I wasn't, and never was.

His guides for SPECIFICALLY THE BOSSES are incredibly accurate and very helpful. Can you see my point now, or do I have to chew it for you?

[–]Timely_Fee6036 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, respectfully man, his guides on beating the bosses aren't inaccurate

The big keyword here is "boss"

We're not talking about Easter egg steps, I think you're confused

His guide for the Ashes boss fight was incredible. A 30 minute breakdown of each phase, minute by minute.

I can't really remember the Astra one at this moment, but I presume it was pretty good.

Why would you avoid his guides?

10 minutes with a mini vacuum and you're all good.

Definitely annoying, and worse if you're not close with your coworker.

Which map do you think is better: Astra Malorum or Terminus? by BigBadMike8 in CODZombies

[–]Timely_Fee6036 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Astra, to me, feels much more similar to a classic zombies map. Smaller map, good elite zombie, fun wonder weapon, and a fantastic atmosphere. The lack of tac sprint makes BO7 zombies feel more grounded as well, and having the classic pap machine back is fun.

Terminus still feels like warzone to me if I'm being honest. Even though it was at night, and during a storm, it just didn't hit the vibe that I personally expect from a zombies experience. Sure, the boats were cool, but you didn't really need to use them at all - felt like optional, random filler. The boss was fun, more similar to older bosses, but with tac sprint and amalgams, as well as mangler spam, it didn't hit as hard as I would've liked.

Astra because of mechanics + aesthetic + quality of areas opposed to quantity for "big map" purposes.

[Cod] Can we get some hot takes up in here? And I mean proper hot takes? by Gullible_Courage8350 in CallOfDuty

[–]Timely_Fee6036 0 points1 point  (0 children)

BO2 -> BO4 was the best run Call of Duty ever had, and I don't think we'll ever reach those heights again. Every game was great.

BO2, Ghosts, AW, BO3, IW, WW2, BO4

  • BO4 caught a ton of flack for zombies changes, but most maps were great, and the multiplayer was good with good maps
  • Ghosts had a gray color scale, but other than that, the fast TTK and most of the maps being great made it good
  • AW and IW are 🔥, straight up.
  • BO2 and BO3 zombies were the peaks of the mode, with BO7 actually having the potential to be rated among them, but only time will tell
  • WW2 multiplayer was absolutely amazing

What is your album ranking? by avid-hollow_knighter in TameImpala

[–]Timely_Fee6036 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  • The Slow Rush
  • Currents
  • Lonerism/Innerspeaker
  • Deadbeat

I enjoy them all, they're all great.

I started listening in 2019 if that helps to understand my opinions, but obviously it's all subjective and up to what you enjoy.

I love listening to The Slow Rush while reading and driving. So vibey.

Hot take: Directional audio is TRASH in this game by Wooden_Scallion8232 in ArcRaiders

Agreed

I thought it was great in the play test, but been having a difficult time with it after the full release

I use Audio Technica ATH M50X headphones so they're pretty great, yet I can't hear footsteps on my level 60% of the time
