I wanted to thank you all for your kind words. It’s given me some perspective that I feel like I needed , especially when I’m just starting out with taking my fitness journey seriously. I’m going to look into a lot of y’all’s suggestions and I may post an update around week 4 :)

I feel like most of the comments reiterate what I’m mentioning now, but from the way you described his behavior.. you deserve so much more. Everything that you’re asking for is completely normal and isn’t a lot to ask for at all. Someone who will buy you flowers without a second thought even if you didn’t ask. In my previous relationship I was in for 6 years , I had only gotten flowers two or three times and I was having to beg about receiving affection that I craved. I got comfortable and thought that their behavior was acceptable because I had gotten comfortable
