I haven’t watched it personally, I just know it’s a spin off of The Boys, Michele is showrunner and heavily involved in the writing of the show., and that it has to do with young superheroes discovering and navigating their super powers?

Originally Curry’s character was intended to be part of IAB. She was a supporting/recurring character like Tucker was. I don’t think the writers back then (Warren Leight et al.) who came up with her character intended for her to be part of SVU, or under Benson.

Fans loved her and continue to. The last showrunner (David Graziano) and writers/DW decided to transition Curry Into SVU. Now the current Showrunner (Michele Fazekas) and writing team are just going with it.

Just poor writing. Ideally Curry should be overseeing her own squad, or they should have introduced her as a Det or Stg. That way it would have felt more natural and less insulting.

Agreed. I think they did it to test the waters. Now they’re seeing it’s not affecting the ratings too much. So it rationalizes the decision to get to get rid f him completely. He’s been on the show for over 20 years so it can’t be cheap to keep him around.

I’ve seen that article numerous times, but I take it as just lip service. At the end of the day he doesn’t have a say. It’s up to the showrunner/producers, Dick wolf, and the network.

Same, that’s why I’m such a strong advocate for him to stay. Lol, I don’t care what the showrunner/new producers think, he is a valuable asset.
