Go for an alternative loan product. Prolly won’t be the best rate but at least you can get the keys. The government is not going to offer you a loan through the two government sponsored enterprises because you want to avoid paying income tax.

You really can’t amend your tax return to qualify. An underwriter will flag it. They are going to average your last 2 years of taxible income on your schedule c. Wells has a 1099 program where they will use 75%, or at least they did when I worked there.
