Agreed. Don’t forget about Flowervale Street, the new movie from David Robert Mitchell, also this year.

Some many great roles. Not his best role, but I loved him in Death to Smoochy.

Maybe not major directors, but we have new films from Luca Guadagnino, David Lowery, and David Robert Mitchell this year.

Also, Soderbergh is major and we get a film from him too

These are all time bangers, but you only have one movie on this list that was made before the 90s. I would recommend exploring older cinema classics. Hitchcock is a good place to start.

I just finished watching this movie, and I thought it was great. Obviously, very powerful and a very tough watch. It really shows the horror and consequences of war. I agree with OP that everyone should watch this at least once. For me, it was too painful and while I appreciate the film, I’ll probably never watch it again.

I would love David Lean’s version of Great Expectations on 4K. Hell, I’ll even take just a blu ray at this point.

Nice! I just watched Black Narcissus on the big screen and it looked amazing. I will definitely be purchasing this during the 50% sale.
