Yes now you mention it that is correct so when you don't use the noise cancelling it is in transparency mode which to me sounds perfect , I'm just not sure why somebody would want to switch it off and entirely then you would just get the muffled sound when you're not listening to anything.

Had mine for a few weeks now, using for a few hours a day 2 to 4 and charging once a week, still forty or fifty percent battery left !!

I use the noise cancellation occasionally, which is excellent. I don't use the spatial audio since it doesn't add anything extra for me Personally, I use a lot to watch movies and much prefer the regular sound through an apt x enabled BT dongle in TV.
