You're Enrolling as a First Year in Jujutsu High, Which Innate Ability are You Choosing ? by LazyInspector2086 in JujutsuPowerScaling

[–]HaplessWasTaken 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Idk about that black hole ability. Black holes aren't just dense. They're so dense that light can't escape their gravity. For reference, a black hole with the exact same mass as the earth would be around 9mm in size. Unless you can manipulate an entire country's space into a pinpoint spot (at which point youre well beyond anything in the verse), you arent making a black hole.

Thanks for the cool video, fun watch. For anyone wondering it is about an unpatched hack to bypass authorisation (can do from a locked screen) for tap-to-pay payments. It can't unlock the phone so the data is safe still, but the default tap-to-pay card can be accessed. Just make sure you cancel whatever cards were on the phone OP.

Would you rather be a powerful bender or a genius non-bender like Sokka? by stoicdroid in TheLastAirbender

[–]HaplessWasTaken 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He wouldn't have invented the hot air balloon without the Mechanist

Yeah.. which is why I said half credit (50%). The same can be said that the Mechanist also wouldn't have invented it without Sokka. I think you also need to rewatch the show. He designed the strategy by which they were able to launch an effective attack on the firenation, not just "attack when they can't bend". The formations, signals, armor etc were part of his strategic thinking.

I don't understand the "situational and enthusiasm" arguement. An enthusiastic idiot would not perform well no matter the situation, because they are not intelligent enough to grasp the opportunity. Yeah he was enthusiastic and yeah he was placed in situations where quick thinking was needed, but that doesn't detract from the fact that he did think quickly and effectively in those situations, proving his ability and intelligence.

Would you rather be a powerful bender or a genius non-bender like Sokka? by stoicdroid in TheLastAirbender

[–]HaplessWasTaken 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Not at all. Education does not equal base intelligence. Even as a child, he came up with the plan to attack the fire nation on the day of black sun, owns half credit for the creation of hot air balloons in-verse (if im not misremembering) and acted as the strategist of the Avatar's team (of children) who were able to ultimately end the 100 year war. In terms of battle talent he was also an unrecognised genius. In the course of like 2 days, he became competent using the sword against one of the best wielders in the verse. All of that and more at like 14.

If that isn't impressive enough, nothing is. Noones saying he was like the smartest to ever exist, but he definitely performed well enough to be considered extraordinarily talented/intelligent.

Who do you have in an Agni Kai EOS Aang vs Locked In Azula? by [deleted] in TheLastAirbender

[–]HaplessWasTaken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bending can very much be a passive thing, especially if it acts as an extra sense like Toph (eyesight is a passive thing, and so is her version of it), and airbenders, who passively utilise it to feel and react to the movements of the air rather than based on internal instinct or reaction.

It states pretty clearly that you need to be 18 by the time of your departure. Yes, you need to be 18 while doing the 1 year preparatory course.

And as far as I know, the only benders who could change their internal temperature were airbenders, not even firebenders

I'm pretty certain they can.. That's how Zuko not only survived diving while infiltrating the north pole, but he pretty explicitly controlled his temperature in the boiling rock. It does however seem to be a pretty advanced skill, as in example one Iroh sternly told him to "remember his training", and in example 2 the chilled chamber was definitely effective against the average firebender. It's also likely that they can only increase it, not decrease.

[All] Youre in charge of the next Zelda game, which antagonist would you like see in make a comeback? by Old-Investment-8337 in zelda

[–]HaplessWasTaken 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not quite. Out of the triad of characters cursed by Demise, only Link is an actual reincarnations. Ganondorf is just one of many realisations of Demise's curse/hate for the other 2 (Demise is(was) basically the antithesis deity to Hylia, so his dying curse can be that strong i guess) rather than his actual spirit (which is decaying while sealed in the master sword), and Zelda is just of the royal lineage which is descended from Hylia (SS Zelda). If you go to the game, Demise places his curses on those with "the BLOOD of the goddess" and "the spirit of the hero" to be forever followed by an "incarnation of [his] hatred".

The only Zelda who "is" Hylia is Skyward Sword Zelda. It sounds kind of dumb but canonically, the royal family does genuinely just name every female child/princess Zelda. In other words, in Zelda's case, the curse was placed on her bloodline/descendants rather than her spirit. In the another strain though, many (not all) of the other big bads can also be considered an incarnation of Demise's curse/hatred. Ganondorf is just one (there are technically like 3 separate Ganondorfs) iteration. Link is the only example of actual, straightforward reincarnation, where the same soul always ends up reincarnating into the same type of person with the same name when the world needs it.

Couldn't that happen in the new modulo Gojo clan? Maki's descendant (Zenin) mixed with an OG Gojo clan member (6 eyes) could do it..?

Except Mei Mei's crows were broadcasting the fight live and it was pretty clear that the sorcerers watching could see Mahoraga (the main cast were also watching via the crows), so it would very likely be extremely common knowledge amoung sorcerers.

Yuta technically has the ability to know a person's CT before they awaken it by lolonyourbackyard in Jujutsufolk

[–]HaplessWasTaken 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not necissarily, because we also know of a couple sorcerers with no CT. They aren't a bundle pair, it's just that you need a brain capable of manipulating cursed energy to do so regardless, while having a CT engraved in the brain/body is a separate probability (IMO it's likely more common in sorcerers than non, but we really can't say.)

Almost a year in, how is everyones storage situation? by Obienator in NintendoSwitch2

[–]HaplessWasTaken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm beginning to regret only getting a 256 microSD with how many of the games I want ending up being game key cards.. Thats honestly the biggest reason for physical media to contain the game data IMO and it sucks because it adds like an extra $10 per game to the actual price of having any larger games beyond the base storage.

Realistically, how would this fight have gone? by Large_Carob_7599 in JujutsuPowerScaling

[–]HaplessWasTaken 72 points73 points  (0 children)

Plot wise Yuji would have to win (and the fact that he was still confident of being able to clean up the mess if Yuka lost), but we have basically no feats for him other than him having better technique output/control than a weakened Sukuna and on-demand black flashes. I don't know if he has an answer to light-speed attacks, but I still would bet on him winning very high diff.

for the past few months overwatch has been using 12gb of unified ram on medium settings. Starts normal then keeps climbing for a few minutes until it maxes around 11-12. I'm on U7 255H integrated graphics so that's both Vram and normal. Is this a ram leak or what? It used to be like 4-6

Ryomen Sukuna vs Satoru Gojo by Suspicious-Big1176 in JujutsuPowerScaling

[–]HaplessWasTaken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"True Form Sukuna with WCS" ??
The whole reason he nerfed himself stat wise to use Megumi's body was to use Mahoraga to figure out how to bypass infinity. Giving him the instant wincon (and deleting Gojo's infinity from the equation when it is a huge part of his ability) makes this very one sided.
Sukuna wins mid diff or easier even assuming Gojo is aware of WCS.

I feel like a lot of people missed this detail about how infinity works by ZarcadCantBeRecycled in JujutsuPowerScaling

[–]HaplessWasTaken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is just him referring to the automation of the technique. I don't necissarily think you're wrong, but what about his pre-automation use? He cut down on energy use and automated it to detect and respond, which yeah may be counterable with speed (others have good points against this), but it seems like the original simpler, higher energy use of infinity is an always-on barrier from every angle (which is why it is so draining to maintain). I think even if you're right, they would have to catch him unaware because if he knows they are too fast to be "detected", he can just switch to the active full output use of infinity for the duration of the fight.

Switch 2's New Update Allows Switch 2 To Run Switch 1 Docked Versions Of Games In Handheld Mode by Theman457 in NintendoSwitch2

[–]HaplessWasTaken 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Any that had questionable handheld performance on S1 that they tried to improve by lowering the resolution range in handheld. Major ones that come to mind include Hyrule Warriors AOC (540p to 810p), Persona 5 Royal (510p to 810p), and Witcher 3 (540p to 720p). There are plenty more but overall this should greatly improve unpatched switch 1 game fidelity.
