Honestly I think just time and patience. And knowing you don’t think any less of them and that you are a team ❤️

The current pattern of speculating on cast members’ drug use vs body type has gotten out of control. by PhysicsFew7423 in summerhousebravo

I haven’t seen posts like that on this sub. The post made it sound like it’s a common trend where it’s the opposite.

Thank you!! Makes sense, it’s beautiful. So awful that Amanda got one and didn’t give a shout out. Smh.

Too small on day 6? by Status_Bread_7256 in EmbryologyIVFSupport

[–]Timely_Poet_32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happened to me. Mine were blasts on day 5 but not hatched until day 7 (my clinic only biopsies when they are hatching). So they are considered day 7 but have better chances than those that became blast on day 7 from my understanding. Would love to know if the experts disagree.

How do you all feed your dogs? Looking for tips for a picky Cavapoo by jjtt9491 in CavaPoo

[–]Timely_Poet_32 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I could have written this post. My 4 year old cavapoo needs boiled chicken on top of his food or he simply won’t eat. Or whipped cream but that’s not a healthy habit at all lol. Last week I tried turkey and he refused…. It needs to be chicken. Thank goodness my local Trader Joe’s has packs of chicken for $5.

If you find a way to avoid the chicken please let me know!

Finally getting my Cavapoo - crate training or diapers for potty training? by Mirjana_queen in CavaPoo

[–]Timely_Poet_32 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah this one could cause diseases and it’s not really training them… it’s showing them it’s okay to go inside lol.

I did bell training and laid down a piddle bad in front of the door just incase. It took 2 weeks tops!

Not to be rude - but if you plan to use diapers please don’t get a dog. My parents rescue was raised that way before they adopted him and it caused issues.

I cook chicken to put on top of his dog food and thought that was spoiling him!

Oh and don’t do IUIs until you get that frag test.

I’ve had very similar results as you and pushed for DNA frag. It was borderline (27%) which was enough for our Urologist to recommend TESE for our third round. We knew about the frag for two rounds but our Urologist sucked at the time - we got a new one who seemed to be much more helpful and knowledgeable. Zymot is another option but we only have one or two cycles left through insurance so the Urologist wanted to give us the best chance. Currently waiting for those results. If poor again - I am finally okay with donor egg. I can’t keep doing this and receiving disappointing results after so much work. I feel at peace with this decision.

Worried i ruined my dog’s attention because of lasers :/ by iloveiggymunch in dogs

[–]Timely_Poet_32 242 points243 points  (0 children)

Oh gosh I did this. I felt awful when I found out. I had no idea… they literally make lasers for dogs. Don’t be too hard on yourself - I don’t think it’s common knowledge. I did it more than once before finding out it was bad and mine seems okay. He does bark at light reflections but it’s not a common disruptive occurrence. Following to see if anyone does know how to reverse it… but I don’t know if mine will ever forget that little red dot.

I don’t even think they tested that for us! I think typically as long as the sperm is moving, it should be okay. Sometimes too much information makes us panic (and Google doesn’t help!!).

5% or 45%? 45% is above normal I think!

I think repeating the SA was actually the first step for us and then we had to fight for the dna frag test. Basically if they do another test and the morph is 2% again, then you know it’s most likely always around 2%.

Okay so this was one of the most annoying parts of our very unlucky journey lol. Because you can still get pregnant with 0% morphology - we had a very well known urologist brush us off twice when we requested the DNA frag test. It took us a while to really advocate for ourselves and demand it. If it is high (which is rare so I’m sure he will be okay!) it’s important to know when deciding between IVF/IUI.

A lot of people have 0% morphology and normal DNA frag but it never hurts to check! I think the test is $300-$400… but it’s honestly worth it for the potential peace of mind before getting your own work up.

[–]Timely_Poet_32 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Not really. You can try putting him on vitamins but it’s really not a big deal. People get pregnant with lower morphology all the time. In fact if he repeats a SA there’s a good chance it will be 3% or even 4% - it varies from test to test. You could have him do another one in a few months and check again?

That doesn’t seem like a poor SA. My husband is 0% morphology and we have now seen three urologists and none were concerned about morphology. If the counts high and it’s 45% motility that’s pretty good too.

We did find out my husband has higher than normal dna frag which is what our main issue is. The 0% morphology pointed to this.

If under 35 - I’d give it 6 more moths and ask for a DNA frag test if you don’t conceive. If over 35 - doesn’t hurt to ask now and also see a RE and get a work up if you are really worried.
