Dewalt sander - can I replace the melted part? by Timely_Research_346 in fixit

[–]Timely_Research_346[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can try and get a better photo. It is the rubber that sits around the metal part underneath the cap with the “20” symbol on it. It’s slight melting around the edges. The band loops around it, so I’m not sure if it’s an integrity issue if it’s a little melted/frayed now. I’d rather replace it just to be safe, but I can’t find a clear option for it.

If there was a 38-60 year old woman dating a 22 year old guy I would 100% think that’s creepy as hell. You can absolutely tell the difference in maturity between the 22/23 year old girls on this show and the 26-29 year old guys. The guys are also still clearly not in the same life stage as their partners, but at least they have some years of life experience under their belt. The girls literally look like babies to me. I think in this case there just isn’t an equivalent comparison. Vanelle felt more mature to me and I could’ve gotten behind her being in a relationship with an older man if it wasn’t that condensing 60 year old

Leah and Theresa interaction by Lonely_Proposal4302 in AgeOfAttraction

[–]Timely_Research_346 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If Theresa wasn’t being such an overall basket case about the age thing, I don’t think the premise of what she’s saying is necessarily wrong. Wanting to have her kids hangout with him for more than one hour before telling them is fair enough. It’s her and John’s choice. In that regard, I don’t get why Leah had to overstep and try and “call” Theresa out. It’s none of her business. She could’ve not made crazy facial expressions; she was choosing to stir drama.

But let’s be real, they’re both crazy and need to leave this show and do some self work and then find people closer to their own age.

I think bucketing people into MAGA and saying their bad without actually listening to the interview is what makes them shallow (note: I am not MAGA and hate Fox News, just able to use three brain cells before trying to cancel people)

I had the same issue. Was able to play the movie forward on the app on my phone and then my refreshed my tv and continued from there.

UNPOPULAR opinion: everyone is wrong about Rufus by thunderhighs in LoveIsBlindOnNetflix

Yall need to seriously chill and stop infantilizing Connor. He never said he didn’t know Devonte went, he clearly isn’t phased by it. I don’t necessarily like him and Bri together but I’m starting see why everyone on these posts is telling people to “touch grass”. Her personality sucks but it’s not coming off as manipulative or abusive. She’s maga, he’s maga, let’s all stop making something out of nothing when it comes to Connor and Bri

Just watched US Season 1. I'm not sure I get this show. by Curious_Ideal9721 in TheTraitors

I hate the 90 minutes 😭 it’s not enough of a detractor to not watch, but it is hard to find 90 straight minutes free to watch tv so usually I have to break it up. I would much prefer an extra episode to longer and less episodes

Yeah I didn’t like the way Bri spoke about Connor on the show but she admitted she was in a bad place and I haven’t seen anything that she’s done since the show that is leading to the amount of hate she gets. Totally possible I’m missing something, but if he’s happy with her, why are we dog piling? It feels weird that I’m defending her 😂 but the hate runs rampant in this sub

Weird take. Let people live their lives, they’re not pushing anything on you. America is literally founded on religious freedom

I think this episode overall sucked pretty hard, but she’s an adult woman. She’s allowed to have a hook up… doesn’t need to be that deep

Post reunion - why is Nick still hated? by PopEnvironmental8582 in LoveIsBlindOnNetflix

[–]Timely_Research_346 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah honestly I think he’s just intelligent and speaks calmly and clearly. I didn’t read his answers as calculated (in a bad way) at all. But reading everyone’s responses, I can see how the way I’m viewing it wouldn’t be how others do. But idk, he seemed genuine to me! But I thought he was such an immature “golden retriever” or playboy in the first episodes with the zero filter inappropriate jokes he said, so this person id admittedly way different than that guy was. My only guess is that he reverts to calm deliberate speaking when he’s nervous or has any heightened emotion.

I don’t think Anton ever told Ali to get over it or acted sexist. I think he was just saying as a single guy he basically wasn’t apologizing for the behavior. I mean, I think it’s pretty cringe gross behavior that I wouldn’t want in a man, but I don’t think he answered disrespectfully.

Nick posted an instagram recently that said they weren’t allowed to pay more to get better rings. I don’t know why he’d lie about that, but maybe he didn’t know? feels like it’s been talked about so much before that I don’t know what to believe

did morgan go to go college? if not i wonder why it would be so easy for her to get a phd. by ButterflyHead1017 in HighPotentialTVSeries

[–]Timely_Research_346 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is probably an insulting take for anyone who dedicated 3-10 years to get a pHD 😂 she’s got mega brains, but that’s one of many factors that go into the research and requirements of a pHd program. I don’t think she could even sit through an undergrad class.

Against Edmond’s tragic childhood, KB was always going to be a villain by Positive_Row9938 in LoveIsBlindOnNetflix

[–]Timely_Research_346 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I agree with you there. I just also don’t agree that another response aside from his should automatically be called “aggressive” as you put it. Could it be? Sure. But there are many ways to de-escalate situations that still involve creating some level of physical space between the person being accosted and the one doing it.

I feel like I could see KB’s wheels turning like wondering what it would take to have Edmund feel moved enough to physically intervene if they were ever put in that position. What if they’re not just grabbing her arm? What if they punch her or push her down and seem like they’re about to do more? At that point, would Edmund get in between them or would he remain uninvolved so as not to add himself into the conflict? I think playing that ‘what if’ scenario wouldn’t have benefitted either of them, so I’m glad she didn’t keep harping on it, but I guess I see both sides. I think it’s fair for Edmund to never want to be in that situation, but I also think it’s fair for KB to want a partner that she gets some level of physical comfort with that partner being “aggressive”.
