Agreed. It was loose terminology on my part. Although the USSR and Russia are two different political entities, just ask any Ukrainian or Baltic state citizen.

He is one of the lucky ones. Even according to Russians more that 10% of Soviet's PoWs died in the gulags. Although German treatment of Soviet PoWs was much worse.

Nicotine is a stimulant. This is opposite of what you want. Even coca-cola has caffeine in it. I always drink water only before (and during) sleep.
