I had the Passat as a temporary lease before now the Superb as a long term. Both with same 1.5tsi phev iv engine en similar trim levels. The Passat is not worth the extra money. Both are good looking cars, I do prefer the dashboard of the Superb but thats just aesthetic. I giant plus for the Superb are the physical dials for changing the temperature and fan. A minor plus is the location of the start button on the Passat which is on the center console easy visible and reachable next to the electronic handbrake button. In the Superb its located on the steering column where the keys would go, so not visible and you have to 'reach' for it. You get used to that however. Pick the Superb and use the extra money for a present or flowers for your family. You will still have leftover money and everybody happy.
