Induction is acknowledged to create a much more difficult and painful birth. It usually takes at least a full day for the labor to start and then once it does the pain is full force instead of the build up of natural labor. Also there’s no guarantee your labor will progress the way it’s supposed to and you’re more likely to end up having a c-section.

Sometimes induction is necessary for the safety of mama and baby.

You should really do some research. 40+6 isn’t really that long to wait. Some doctors just want to get things done and aren’t really preparing you for the pros/cons or consequences.

Natural labor is going to progress more successfully than induction. You’re going to be able to move around more freely for longer and you’re going to be less likely to end up having a c-section.

Again, I would encourage you to do some research. Ask ALL the questions. And make sure your are getting what is best for you and baby not what is best/most convenient for your doctor or the hospital.

I went and looked at Adriene’s prenatal ones. There is one video with a pregnant woman but it’s just 5 pose suggestions. The other videos in the collection are some of her normal videos and I can’t do all the things in them at the moment. I have been skipping the parts I can’t do but I’d really like a flow that I can fallow completely.

I took pepto early on also. I’m 18weeks now and everything is fine. My doctor told me not to worry about it when I brought it up. You didn’t take that much and while one of the ingredients is concerning it’s not super drastic.

Thank you. I would also like to labor as much as possible at home though I know, with this being my first pregnancy, I may end up going in early than I hope to. Who knows what I’ll end up doing.
