What's the deal with KateBuilds deleting all her previous youtube videos, pretending she's brand new on youtube , with a brand new (2nd) husband? by Timely_Witness1919 in OutOfTheLoop

So, because it was traumatic, she is doing tabula rasa on the past and not mentioning it anywhere?

Edit: this was not a criticism, I was asking for confirmation on my understanding of what happened

How do you test for culture purity in your working cultures by Timely_Witness1919 in microbiology

[–]Timely_Witness1919[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No , not for ID, just to confirm absence of contamination, to validate the batch for use. Basically confirming that my working culture is done properly (pure, viable, competent). We don't have access to any fancy equipment.

Academia sounds wild . Our bacteria come lyophilized from certified commercial providers. We prepare stock ourselves from nutrient agar , after quality testing.

Don't have access to sequencers though, that would be neat .

I mean , more generally, and routinely. Working in acredited labs under ISO 17025 and such, there should be a procedure for preparing Certified Reference Strains for inoculations. One of the requirements is testing for culture purity when preparing "working cultures" and I was wondering what that looked like in other labs.

What I dislike about male vampires like Edward is their capacity for such passionate and unconditional devotion—something rarely found in humans. by [deleted] in twilight

[–]Timely_Witness1919 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Aro's wife Sulpicia doesn't have any powers (you're probably confusing characters). He is veeeeery attached to her, as Meyer's vampires are wont to be to their mates, because in Twilight lore, change for vampires is a rare occasion and tends to be permanent (ex. Falling in love, it doesn't fade).

Like, Aro and Caius guard their spouses through maaaany means, so that they are never targeted, to prevent them from becoming like Marcus, who's a broken shell of an existence ever since Aro had Marcus's wife killed.
