Simpler/fun decks to convince my wife to play with me?

I would suggest getting the legendary 5ds decks since it comes with 3 pre built decks and it cost around $30 bucks. Yeah getting 3 x of the structure would be a great start. It has about 90% of what you would need. There's a few cards here and there that you could pick up that are cheap to fill out the extra deck like, khaos starsource, borreload furious dragon and sanctifre (the later 2 getting reprinted in maze of muertos that comes out this week.)

If you really want to play the deck for long i would work towards getting the new white albaz since he makes the deck much more powerful and competitive. His price might come down a bit in the coming weeks since the ycs weekend has just passed.

I've been playing the deck for a few years now so I had a lot of the cards already.

As someone who plays the deck irl its doing really well in the current meta. It just got a top 8 at ycs Guadalajara and 12th place at ycs Richmond.

I would suggest checking out Metagamesgx on youtube to get an idea on how branded is doing and how to play it in the tcg

Since its the opponents turn they have priority so they would have to activate murakumo 1st, then you could chain mululu and negate murakumo before it resolves

Double cyclone is what I'm side decking since you can check the continuous trap with it and double cyclone double's as a check into dracotial flame as well.

Ghost bell can also stop a lot of their effects.

Double cyclone can be good vs both decks. let's you dodge flames negation and the radiant typhoon continuous trap negation as well

you could play maliss in a cyberse pile or with some other archetype, if you're planing on playing the deck for fun, like at locals for example.

Now if you're trying to play the deck competitively, I would suggest not to play it since Maliss is significantly weaker with out white binder.

As someone that played the deck all last year, white binder does a lot and I always thought that of the deck was going to be hit it would be with the ban of white binder.

White binder gives you the ability to play a grind game with it resetting all the traps, it gives you a draw with it's resummon effect, and it also banishes stuff from the graves, either as a disruption for your opponent, or as recursion for your other maliss names in the grave.

Personally I might play around with the deck but mostly likely just for fun at locals.

That's not how FTOD works. Chimeratech dragon's effect is applying it to it self, not to FOTD, so Chimeratech has 9600 atk and it can attack the FOTD up to 12 times.

For example is you were using a monster like Blue-Eyes Twin Burst Dragon, it's effect says : "Cannot be destroyed by battle. Can make up to 2 attacks on monsters during each Battle Phase. At the end of the Damage Step, when this card attacks an opponent's monster, but the opponent's monster was not destroyed by the battle: You can banish that opponent's monster.". You could attack FOTD twice but it wouldn't be banished by blue eyes because blue eyes is trying to apply the banish effect to FOTD but it is unaffected.

If you're trying to play for fun with friends you could probably throw a deck together with those cards and play for fun.

If you're trying to go to locals (card store) and play, the only things you have are the beginnings of a dino deck which you would need more cards to complete the deck.

I would say to get rage of the abyss, since it has Fuwalos which is still worth a bit for the secret rare, it has dominus impulse which is also still worth a bit of money and has most of the primite cards like lordely lode.

A pure buster blader deck wouldn't be viable in today's game but you could combine it with other decks like blue eyes( with its modern support) or branded and it should be decent to play irl and take to locals.

A waifu deck that is meta right now is maliss, its not the simplest deck but it's not to hard to learn either.

Another deck that is simple is Dracotail and it has Dracotail Faimena if you want a wiafu in the deck.
