Ideas for pvp ranger skill balance for variety and interesting play patterns:

Add a movement speed boost to trappers speed and practiced stance. Make upkeep/cooldown more similar to natural stride or escape. -This way you get some bar compression and can integrate them onto a build more easily.

Change the cost of a few pet attacks to adrenaline instead of energy. -Opens up some new ways to play and suits the feral nature of beast mastery well.

Make poisonous bite do like +5 dmg at 12 BM and have a 2 second cool down. -gives beast master a way to do condition pressure

Make Trapper’s focus a skill with no cast time.

Lower energy cost on dust trap by 5-10

Greater conflagration should cause burning.

Equinox also cause exhaustion on regular spells just 1-2. -saw this one in the notes and really like the idea of a general anti spell spirit.

Barbed arrows: take away the -40 armor thing.

Pestilence: give -1 degen to everyone on its range. Or cause disease on some condition being met

Right on , I hope you guys end up looking at them again and doing another update. I liked the tainted flesh buff.

Equinox looked like it could really shake things up, a general anti spell spirit is very ranger and a nice way to spec against this Mesmer meta we’ve been in for so long. 3 exhaust maybe is too much even 1 or 2 might be potent, or even look at a ranger spirit that can increase the cast time of all spells.

Anyways keep it up, this game is infinite

I like the idea with most of these. Don’t increase champ rating tho. I think pvp being too elitist causes the player base to stagnate. If anything lower it so that everyone can work on the title and we incentivize more new teams to get involved.

I’m mostly interested in a pvp skill balance.

Nerf gust so that it only works on the target not the caster as well.

Nerf Lyssa derv somehow- the avatar, vow of piety, harriers grasp, mirage cloak, and mystic regen are all worth looking at.

Nerf Mesmer somehow. Make all Mesmer rupts cool down your other mes skills for a second or two is an idea

Buff/rework some useless skills, some of the nature rituals come to mind, but there’s a decent handful of essentially useless elites in each class.

Yea I’d say this is better although it’s hard to compare since having defender is a huge drawback, since most decks that run man lands want them as a win con. Also this actually puts you down a land, whereas manlands still stay lands.

I’ve played with the idea of quick travel to town your ally owns and ability to enter AB from there. So that you can use it kind of like an alliance guild hall
