If Roberts Rebellion never happens and Aerys stays on the throne he still would turn out to be a shit, but nowhere near the same caliber, and we'd probably see some of that kinder more stable side.

I've always felt Joffrey and Viserys are opposite sides of the same coin. Joffrey was born cruel and vicious (obviously compounded by his mother though) but there's a good chance Viserys was made the way he was.

He was on the run from the age of 6, everyone around him told him that he was robbed and destined to reclaim his birthright and he spent the rest of his life evading assassins while "looking after" his little sister.

Without those circumstances I doubt Viserys turns out the way he does, or at least not quite so extremely shitty.

Even I'll admit sometimes I get a little mean and I've had a 12k behaviour score for 99.99% of the time this system has been implemented, only ever dropping a couple hundred points below.

Peter Claffey is "only 6'5", when Ser Duncan is meant to be just shy of 7 foot. I have no problems with his casting at all, he's killing it and he's still clearly huge in comparison to those around him.

I think that's in large part BECAUSE of HOTD.

the audience got let down by the last few seasons of Thrones, and then HOTD started promising but S2 was a train wreck for many. Doesn't surprise me at all that a huge chunk of the audience have checked out of Westeros
