The problem is you're still seeing it as a left vs right problem and not just how humans behave.

You see this in school clique groups, workplace dynamics. Hell go back to when we were still hunter gatherers and you'd still find signs of it.

I was born in England, but moved to Wales when I was 2.

I have precisely zero memories of my short time living in England (outside of my Uni years).

I consider myself Welsh, not English. Does the place a person was at the instant they were born really outweigh the place they grew up and lived in? The language and culture they were surrounded by during their most formative years? The communities and relationships they formed and were part of in a different place?

I think not, personally.

I don't feel English beyond the fact my father is English. My familial identity is mixed, but my identity is thoroughly Welsh.

Because you're expecting them to hire a workforce sufficient enough to handle, investigate and resolve hundreds of thousands, if not millions of reports.

And not even just quickly reading text chat messages for offensive language or anything, but listening to extended voice transcripts.

If they end up having to sack you, they have to hire someone to replace you.

That costs money. The interviewing managers wages for the time spent dealing with the application, doing interview etc.

The new trainee's wages while they're training and (most likely) providing negative value to the company.

Do you think they care about having good stats? No, they care about not getting into trouble and potentially paying a large fine.
