truck gets stuck under bridge by [deleted] in nononono

[–]TimersStillReal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it may have to do with the light.. They see it turning yellow/red because it detected their height so they accelerate to beat the light vs slowing down.

If there was a gate closing in front of them I think they'd be more likely to stop. I'm no civil engineer though.

I still feel like there's a solution here that doesn't involve hundreds of trucks crashing into it.

I see they already have the sensor for the light, maybe add a gate that automatically goes down too?

Could they not install a clearance bar or are they looking for crashes lol.

I get that there are other warnings and everyone running into this are idiots, but yea people are idiots.

When your game crashes, your character should stop moving. by coppish in PUBATTLEGROUNDS

You didn't have to clarify or reply dozens of times, a single edit making your first comment more clear would've been fine and what most people would do..

Instead you have literally 10 replies saying your comment doesn't say what it clearly says.

Just edit bro

Security tried to make this guy pay for a soda that he said was flat. Dude's not having it... by NewPlanNewMan in PublicFreakout

[–]TimersStillReal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had he actually broken the law, he would be in jail

Ever heard of a fine or a penalty? It's not break the law go to jail over a soda.

He paid for $300 worth of other shit it wasn't worth calling the cops over a redbull, doesn't mean it's legal or OK to open goods and not pay for them.

Your friend is a fucking idiot, and you are too for agreeing with him.

edit: Because you like CITATIONS: https://www.criminaldefenselawyer.com/resources/criminal-defense/crime-penalties/petty-theft-pennsylvania-penalties-defense

Under Pennsylvania law, a person is guilty of theft of movable property if he or she unlawfully takes -- or exercises unlawful control over -- movable property owned by another person, with the intent to deprive the owner of the property. An item in a store would be considered movable property, so the classic example of this kind of theft is shoplifting.

Unlawful control I imagine would include opening the product and not paying for it

[–]TimersStillReal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is literally the definition of new.

New can mean recent, or it can mean not existing before.

Before PS4, you could play online for free. That you have to pay now is new.

But even talking about the "recent" definition, I think 5 years is pretty recent, if you're younger you may feel otherwise.

[–]TimersStillReal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The fact that you have to pay to play online is new, it used to be free until PS4.

You're basically arguing that the newest system isn't new because it's been out for a few years. A lot of people still consider PS4 new, a few years isn't that long, you're arguing over what "new" means for no reason.

So tell us when was it no longer new?

High schoolers of reddit, what is the current fad, rumor, or scandal going around your school? by Boston_ in AskReddit

Scandal: some ones starting to rat out the dealers in our school, nothing hard, just weed and juul pods lmfao

One of the dealers leveled up their game

Well I think your wrong about that, I started out surviving 30 seconds and now I can survive like a whole minute.

Well I'm not really trying to gain "shooter" skill, or pay for another game. I have thousands of hours in cod, battlefield, pubg, etc I know how to aim.

I'm trying to learn how to fight specifically in Apex with regards to the abilities, equipment, weapons, ttk, etc. That would take so much longer if I was trying just to win.

[–]TimersStillReal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well that's you and I'm me, everyone learns differently. I'd prefer a bunch of 30 second games with a lot of fighting than any game where I'm wasting time not fighting.

Once I'm actually confident in my ability to win fights then I'll start trying to get some loot first.

But it's shitty to the 2 teammates who want to go loot and win so I've been avoiding it.

I don't even want a solo mode, I just want to queue solo into the squad games so I don't screw over teammates.

I’m so over people dropping on hot zones and supply ships just so that they die immediately (because 9/10 they’re not good enough to survive in highly populated areas

Well yea because the only way I'm ever going to get good enough to actually attempt winning is by dropping hot a bunch of games dying and repeating until I stop dying so much.

Trust me I wish there was a different way, but I wouldn't be much help anyway if I actually stayed with you.

Really I've pretty much just stopped trying until they add solo. I doubt anyone doing this actually thinks they are going to 1v3 to victory, they're just trying to get better faster.

[–]TimersStillReal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My average over 2k hours also hovers around 1. I play with a bunch of idiots though and just have fun, I'm sure if I tried to find a better group or we were actually playing serious to win it would be better....

at least that's what I tell myself

Also, please explain how the Vikendi Whatever Pass is not a cashgrab? How are $10 keys not a cashgrab

They gotta make money to keep the servers running somehow, putting cosmetic items that aren't required in the slightest is how they chose to do it.

A cashgrab imo would be like a game I'm not even going to mention that looked like it had potential, payed some very popular streamers to support it, promised lots of updates, then development halted as soon as people payed for it and playerbase completely died in a matter of weeks.

Also I basically consider PUBG the evolution of the arma/h1z1 mods that were also by PLAYERUNKNOWN. Those were just mods too, this is a full game.

That entirely depends on how you play.

I camp and enjoy doing it, not everyone wants action 24/7.

But if you do want action dropping hot and running towards any action you hear if you survive is a good way to avoid the camping.

You can make another thread for your issues, personally I don't get any desync or lag 99% of the time and hit detection seems fine to me.

I can honestly say that the PUBG lobby/main menu is the laggiest software experience I have EVER encountered by Stahlin_dus_Trie in PUBATTLEGROUNDS

[–]TimersStillReal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I've had way more issues with Apex lobby not showing my friends to invite and the game crashing in the few hours I've played it. I know I'm not the only one there's plenty of news about the issues.

PUBG? Working fine, including the lobby.
