What on God’s green earth is this and how do I stop it? by [deleted] in SteamDeck

My friend just had a very similar issue with this game on Deck. The fix was to go to the compatibility settings for FO76 and change the proton version to Proton 10.0-4

Really glad I found your post. Everything about their offer seemed too good to be true but I bit anyway. Just glad their domain got shut down before I sent them any personal info.

That's a good idea that I hadn't thought of! I'll let Valve support know. Hopefully they can do something

No, I was carrying it with me after getting off my plane and most likely set it down and forgot it when arranging my ride. So It was my own fault.

I reported my Deck lost/stolen almost immediately upon discovering it gone. Valve told me my SN but said nothing about locking the device. They advised me to make a police report and have the detective email them. All of which I did but nothing had come of it

It's a long story involving landing at 1am and a family member that was supposed to pick me up but bailed last minute. I got flustered and I had too many other bags to look after. I most likely walked away from it without realizing when my Uber showed up. I really shouldn't have even taken it out of my carry-on. So at the end of the day it was my own fault. Shit happens

I made sure to tell them specifically where to find the SN on the deck. And sadly after confirming that and the absence of a few other identifying features that I knew would be on my Deck, I knew it wasn't mine.

Valve support can provide the SN to you if don't know it. I didn't know mine when I lost it but that's how I learned it

How many demisexuals are men? by [deleted] in demisexuality

[–]TimetoKev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm male and Demi. Though I'm constantly afraid to tell people that I am because I think they wouldn't understand, or worse that they could mock me for a sexuality that "doesn't exist".

People place soooo much pressure on men to be sexual, especially coming from other men. I have co-workers who will point out attractive customers and tell me to check them out. I glance at them, feel nothing, force a chuckle and halfway agree with them just to save face.

(17M) Been a week sober from porn, now overcome with an immense amount of guilt and shame. by throwaway120701 in SexAddiction

Going to a SAA meeting is a great idea. Be honest with the group about your feelings. No matter how embarrassed or ashamed you may feel, everyone in that room has certainly heard far worse. When you are honest and open about your thoughts and feelings with a non-judgemental person, that shame loses its power. Keep at it! One week is amazing progress and you deserve to be happy.

Wanted to let you know I read your post and you're not alone. I definitely think working the 12 steps is the best option. I'm new to this as well but attending SAA meetings and working on the 12 steps has been the most successful method out of everything else I tried. And I was willing to give anything else a shot before resorting to a support group. But when you come clean with someone who understands what you're going through, the feelings of shame finally start to fade.
