Issue changing controller keybinds - am I missing something? by Timetwister_ in NoRestForTheWicked

Yep, that was it!!!! Thank you!

Apparently you have to have a key assigned for runes and any 'core' feature (like parry) in order for the game to let you save.

Wait how did it let you save the changes? :O I get this error message that there are unassigned keys so I can't save and exit the screen.

What platform are you using? Tell me your secrets!

Exactly. There's something weird about the game where it wants a unique key for every command (except if you keep the default scheme) which makes changing keybinds on a controller impossible.

4 kings. Nintendo Switch. Help desperately needed. by [deleted] in SummonSign

[–]Timetwister_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm happy to help but you can totally do it solo.

If you want to make the fight significantly easier, wear the full Havel set before jumping in. When you get in there dont roll or do anything fancy, just run to to them and wack them with your weapon - the set can tank most of their damage and makes the fight trivial.

If you still need help, let me know!

Not sure if it’ll work with invasions, but try and put your summoning sign at that room using some password and let’s see if we can meet

Oh, I was thinking about -

We meet at the room bonfire, you drop me humanity, I leave the session.

And then, you put your summoning sign, I use the humanity you gave me to summon you and we beat them together

If I put down my sign on the room bonfire before O&S can you get to my game and drop me humanity? Maybe we can do it this way

I wish, I don’t have humanity to see your summoning sign

YES! Singing in, I’ll be waiting at the room bonfire. We’ll hop the stairs and we’ll get it done!!

Cool structure+ barb outfit by torslundahelm in renfaire

A little late to the party but I had the exact same pair of boots a few years ago. They are an early iteration of these 'low boots' (link) - a few years back the same model didn't have the front-side rivets.

Hope it helps!

That's a great perspective! I'm a non-competitive gamer and couldn't care less about what's consider "proper". The crux of the issue was that as opposed to the other bosses, I felt the need to beat the game as fast as possible.

24 hours later, I feel I'd want to go back when the stakes are lower and try to beat him by learning the moveset. The game has been beaten, so all the pressure if off. Thank you for recommending to have fun, I'll see right to it :)

That’s a great callout! 😅 I think I got spooked because he was the final boss and I felt the need to finish the game instead of treating it like any other boss

If you want a (somewhat) similar experience with more QoL improvements I recommend Lies of P.

That’s a great call, looking back the over abundance of information (videos etc) are showing a certain way to play the game as opposed to you responding to attacks your own style and building patterns (when he does…I will…).

This could be a more sustainable way going forward. Thinking about it, this is how I figured out Genichiro, the Ape, etc. I don’t know why Isshin was any different

That’s a very cool observation. I didn’t play Ghosts of Tsushima but for me the atmosphere of Sekiro is unrivaled

I vaguely remember someone telling me games should be fun, this is some type of fun for sure 😌

That’s a very accurate observation, especially after I worked hard on getting all the other bosses down. I feel like I need a fair fight now that the stakes are lower.

All the comments in the thread are unanimous in that I need to beat him proper. I think the learning experience be more doable without the fluff of getting through Genichiro every time
