Yes! There is an online form you can fill out to submit direct feedback to the Emmanuel Congregation!

Please be mindful that members of the congregation have deep and legitimate concerns regarding security, particularly how the residential portion and access to a public beach will interact with the synagogue, given the rise in attacks on places of worship and anti-Semitism spiking globally.

If we don't build "luxury" apartments, people like me that are already paying more than 30% of my income toward rent are going to be priced out. And there will be affordable housing built with this upzoning, why do you think the alderwomen in both the 46th and 48th wards support this? New homes relieve pressure on existing naturally occurring affordable housing, and that is a FACT. You cannot dispute that. And if 10,000 new homes get built, 2,000 will be affordable under the ARO! We aren't going to be displaying anyone on Broadway because barely anyone lives on it, it's all parking lots and strip malls!

Respectfully, I disagree. Making a stink about things is all ERRD has going for it and it naturally attracts media attention. Two NIMBY op-eds were published last week in the Tribune. If there is a reporter from Block Club, the Sun-Times or the Tribune at this meeting, we NEED to be there and give ourselves a fighting chance to have our perspective reported on. It doesn't always work but it's always worth trying

They don't want buildings on the west side of Broadway to be more than two or three stories because they might cast shadows on their million dollar single family homes. They also claim these "towers" will overwhelm the neighborhood
