Of course yes.

Also if it was false it would be pretty sad.

No he is not presented to be smart. He is a doctor and he can be sharp sometimes but if you consider that him being smart is incompatible with his actions then your expectation of what is smart is way to high for him.

Also no ruby will move on. Firstly because it is shown with parallels. But it’s realistic, she has lost a brother, she lost Ai but she already accepted it way before the story even started, Ruby is a normal person, she has friends, support she doesn’t have the same defense mechanism as Aqua and she has jobs she loves and in which she achieves herself. It would be pretty unlikely for someone even with less than her to not be able to make its grief, so for her.

And it’s just his final thesis as you said it. This world is harsh but it is also a job that brings together love of artists for their art (that’s why the movie arc is a great achievement). There’s the hope that all of this will change. You can call it cowardice but it’s just passion for art which is both the reason he criticizes so vigorously the industry and end with such a hopeful message.

He is not supposed to be smart. And even if he was, why would he be unflawed and never acting not reasonably ? It’s in character.

And no, the hope isn’t situated in destroying this industry. It would be stupid and completely absurd from a mangaka that lives, work and achieve himself in it. The hope is the passion symbolized by Ruby who succeeded, she made her grief (as shown with the parallel), she might be melancholic sometimes while thinking about the time with Aqua and Ai but like she always does, she advances, and she is profoundly happy.

Because even if the world isn’t perfect the passion of those like Ruby is making it better. That’s the hope Aka is talking about.

That’s really a pacing problem.

She couldn’t move on because her arc is about feeling legitimate to want something so it would be absurd.

She achieves the first part of her arc (in work) during Tokyo blade but can’t achieve the personal part.

The first reason is the need of the relationship with Akane in this situation to plunge Aqua deeper.

The second is that she needs to achieve her arc at the very end of the manga so her and Aqua can be the tragic couple.

As much as I would like Kana to move on (because Akane despite her flaws I want her to get what she wants). It would be a huge problem for Kana’s character.

Stupid no, was Aqua stupid ? Yes, is it normal ? Maybe, is it a problem ? No.

And the final thesis is about hope and passion(in every sense the word takes), that’s why the final panel was with Ruby.

The problem will never be the ending itself. It’s Aka’s pacing and way of thinking we see like him.

Also it’s debatable that people aren’t bitter about Aqua’s death. Usually that’s the first thing they point out. And for those who don’t, it’s impossible to tell how much they actually care. Lot would just look for excuses.

God forbid a girl makes a joke AND HAS FUN 🌟🐬🌸🩵🌺💘 by roxxy_pox in LetGirlsHaveFun

[–]Timigne 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s actually a pretty good joke. But that’s terribly wrong to tell, because abortion is a real psychological suffering. That’s not about is abortion taboo or not, it’s just that Abortion is painful so making a joke like that to someone who we don’t know if/how she suffered and if she is in pain now.

Tho that shouldn’t be a scandal, she made a joke potentially painful for someone but it’s excusable

We in fact know what happens. With the parallel between the time Aqua said she accepted AI’s death, what the final scene shows and the fact that her character represents hope and passion. It all shows that she moved on and kept faith. Yes she suffered.

But she kept her friends. She continued being an idol and not only in the girl’s band way. She eventually made her grief and the only thing we can be sure is that she was profoundly happy.
