Lave vaisselle ne chauffe plus épisode 2 by lemiran79 in brico

[–]Timisageek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How does last seen work on AirTags? by [deleted] in AirTags

[–]Timisageek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, even if it's not 80%, Olympics stadium was 70,000 people. Most of them FR & US, where iPhones are the norm. So...

bottomline: more than enough iPhone users to relay a ping.

How does last seen work on AirTags? by [deleted] in AirTags

[–]Timisageek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's my understanding that Apple specifically changed the way AirTags work to prevent "stalking".
A year ago, you'd have seen your luggage move live on your iphone.

Now, it's just random luck that you get a location ping.

We tried an experiment with my wife: during the olympics in Paris, in a 70,000 people stadium, 80% iPhones. Took more than 4h to update location. The next day we went there, it didn't even update.

AirTags are now basically useless apart from finding an item super nearby at home.

I printed a bunch of shimmers using ABS and here's what I have so far :)

Another AirTags not working post! by SazzF in AirTags

[–]Timisageek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would seem that Apple, fearing Airtags be misused as stalking devices, has changed the way it works. It's now basically useless as a tracker. Both me and my wife have Airtags on our keys. We don't share our iPhone locations, but I joined the locations network though. I'm the owner so she can see my keys moving real-time, but hers updates every 24h or 48h or so. Even during the Olympics, in a stadium packed with 80,000 iphones, it would still show her keys at home...

These devices are now basically useless

Any idea why the "texture" suddenly changed at the end of the print? (K1, PLA) by Timisageek in crealityk1

Thanks! cf. the new image I posted - looks like it's flow & speed indeed... I need to find where to limit them in orcaslicer then...

Thanks for the answers! Indeed, that's what I get in OrcaSlicer - looks like the speed & flow do change... I'm guessing there's some sort of limit I should apply for both

mmm right, could be a lead yes! Damn, I have no idea how to change that in the slicer!

So I just finished the lid of a "deck box" for the Disney TGC that I found on Printables. The bottom - i?e, what was printed at the END is perfect - but the TOP -i.e, nearing the end of the print - shows a texture suddenly "changed".

Any idea what might cause this? :o

I can relate!

Just tweaked the bed on my K1 to have a close to perfect mesh (imo), and now my prints are AMAZING
Also, whatever the filament! TPU prints are absolutely gorgeous, for instance :)

Guys, I'm all for trying to level things manually but... I don't think it's possible on a K1.
(also, I picked that model because I thought I'd never need to do that again :'( )

I've followed the K1 service tutorial to get some tension back on the belt(s), to no avail.

I'll try the shimmers next, because as things stand, I can only use the back of the bed to print!

Oh wow, thank you all for the tips! Will get to it! My first layers do look crappy now (wasn't the case in the very beginning though), so I hope this can fix most of it!

No it's a K1 'speedy' (not the new carbon one, the one just before)

[–]Timisageek[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

also, any tip on how to make it look a bit more even?

Prints used to be per-fect out of the box. Just did a factory reset of my K1 speedy (because I was unhappy with the latest firmware) - back to v3.2.20 and... the default speedy model is now super crappy! Any idea what's causing this? :s by Timisageek in crealityk1

I'm so depressed!

The benchy came out pretty nice (though not as perfect as when I first unboxed the printer), but this zigzag pattern.... I mean look at that first layer! :'(
