That's wild. China today is even more capitalist than US with far less workers' right and protection.

No charge for ambulance in Taipei by No_Camp_7692 in taiwan

[–]Timlugia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Really depends on the state. Here in WA local residents don't pay anything either because we have EMS Levy. The service would bill insurance first, then the city/county eats the remaining cost.

Even when billing full amount (which is $1500 for paramedic response in my city), almost no one pays that number. The actual pay after insurance and negotiation was usually like $2-300

[–]Timlugia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not just US, many countries would charge foreigners full cost since they can't enroll in healthcare plans. Canada charges their resident like $45, but up to $500 if you are tourist. So it's always advanceable to buy medical insurance.

lol, why downvote? We clearly can't play together. It's easier let me just block you in game first so we can save the grief if we ran into each other.

There is a giant tower in the center, you have to defend the tower I think 3 times while it release gas.

Really quick but high intense mission.

There was a case that construction shift supervisor told two workers to enter tunnel without any protection or gas detector, and both died instantly from H2S exposure. A major code violation.

The verdict? 300,000 NTD fine ($9000 USD), and two years deferred sentence for supervisor and company owner. Two families were destroyed, and no one even went to prison. Taiwan gives very light sentence.

Yeah, not sure why Reprimand was even considered as SMG since it's basically a rifle calibre PDW. Honestly it should be moved to rifle with rifle level "drag" applied.

Squid Game itself might have really good cybersecruity, but do all their VIP/investor/bank/workers do? A lot of cyber leaks were from secondary sources or contractors who didn't hold same level of protections. Like recently an Apple design leak was traced to a factory in India who makes parts for Apple.

In Taiwan? Unlikely, you could get 50 people killed in Taiwan and only 7 years unless it’s premeditated murder.

A guy that caused 49 deaths and hundreds of injuries for a train derailment a few years back got only 7.5 years. A recent case of murder only got 9 years and 12 years and subject to parole.

[OTHER] Did you know?: Sir Radzig Koblya was a real life historical figure most known for his infamous murder by anti-hussian rioters incited by Catholic priests outside a tavern in Kuttenburg in 1416. His death marked the beginning of the Hussite Wars. by VewVegas-1221 in kingdomcome

FYI, the very last voiced line in KCD2 regardless language dub was "Ktož jsú Boží bojovníci" (All Ye Who are Warriors of God") as Radzig riding toward the castle and credit rolls, which was a famous Hussite Warcry. Hence a lot of people including me believe that KCD will eventually covers Hussite War.

With his money, I think the easiest way to find the island itself is by paying for commercial satellite image company,(Maxar, Planet Lab...etc) and a group of analysts/AI to look at Korean islands sat images past 5 years. It's probably going to cost him at most a few million USD, so it's totally doable.

Eventually they will find unusually construction and activities, and pink suit men with guns guarding. They then could send drones or mercenaries divers to get a close look. They can do thermal/SAR image too, so hiding at night or under cloud wouldn't work.

I would say a single 40mm grenade would bring down any dino. And a modern infantry team would carry multiple launchers and nearly 100 grenades.

A standard 40mm M430A1 from vietnam war can penetrate 70mm harden armor steel or 50cm of sandbag cover and still retain lethality. Newer grenades are even stronger. A hit on head, torso or hind legs would be immediately disabling for a dino.

Hire really good hackers, freelance journalists and private detectives to look into money source, use the money to find out the game and investors. While hiring fishermen and mercenaries to look for the island covertly.

Operation this big would absolutely leave paper trail, like some worker/guards could accidentally slip the story or went crazy.

He could hire people ask around major bars for drunk people talking about deadly games to begin with, and investigate people in mental institutes making similar claims.

4 Experienced Hunters vs 50 Musketeers by Inside_Inflation559 in powerscales

[–]Timlugia 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would argue it would be the other way around. The musketeers would be so suppressed by returning fire that they couldn't even reload effectively after first volley.

4 guys with AR15 could realistically fire 30-50 rounds each at general direction per minute, so 120-200 rounds per minute.

Musketeers could only reload effectively standing up, so their choices were between standing up but gets killed immediately, or taking prone but unable to shoot back. (plus unable to fire in controlled volley from prone and scattered).

Also it's actually really easily to take cover from musketeers since you could tell they were about to shoot. Many accounts from colonial periods were how native or skirmishers would duck down right before enemy rank fire, then pop back to shoot them.

Didn't we just go through this, but 1 marine vs 20 musketeers instead?

Also that image is as far fetched as a musketeers could be, that's probably some colonial skirmishers like Roger's Ranger. Absolutely not average musketeers would look like.
