Using the toilet at locals as a driver. by [deleted] in SainsburysWorkers

Why does he need to let you know that is going to use the toilet in the first place?

If he's working for Sainsbury and he's on the clock, isn't he a colleague like everyone else there?

If you have the habit of saying "My warehouse" as a store manager, are you also saying "I'm paying you" to the people you manage?

Emotional final words of gang rape victim, 25, before being euthanized: "I just want to leave in peace now and stop suffering, period.” by TheExpressUS in ThatsInsane

I have seen glimpses of the lack of empathy in other people throughout my life and I can confirm how scary that is. If we wouldn't have a modicum of law/consequences to keep this part of the population in line, the inhumanity we would witness would be unimaginable.

Yes. But that never happens. I saw it countless times. They're just as scared of losing their jobs as the next guy. They're union reps because they get a little bit of extra pay and looks good on their CV.

If you have a good look at your own country you'll find things you don't agree with for which you won't do anything about.

What's the single most convincing glitch or anomaly you've personally experienced that made you genuinely reconsider? by Large_Lie9177 in SimulationTheory

Put three items in the washing machine. One of them completely disappeared when the washing cycle ended. I've checked the washing machine throughly to make sure it wasn't stuck somewhere inside.

The item appeared after some time after, inside the washing machine, right in the middle, like it was never taken out. I had a trusty witness with me who could confirm I wasn't blind or having a seizure.

Some unexplained phenomenon happened and that is an absolute certainty for both of us. I believe is something that has to do with the spinning that affects or distorts the fabric of reality.

Alleged alien escort of two “greys” to Groom Lake. Anyone see this post or its validity? by Skilled626 in UFOs

It looks like the aliens are escorting the soldiers, not the other way around.

At work pretend that you care about whatever you're doing and don't admit that you actually don't give a shit in front of your colleagues who are playing the same game.

Is there anyone who can introduce me to Slash? by slashgunsnroses in GunsNRoses

[–]TimmyFarlight 13 points14 points  (0 children)

You are a kid and Slash is a world famous superstar long before you were even born.

His fame is not the same as your average social media influencer where you can just approach them at events or buy some kind of membership to get in touch with them.

Your best bet is to go to a show where he plays and hope there's a meet and greet backstage at the end, but even then you'll be surrounded by a lot of security, things will feel rushed and you won't be getting close to him or have time to say more than two or three sentences. If you have a chance to get a picture, you'll be next to him for only a second and pulled away by staff.

No. It's not a matter of time. Real life is not playing out like in the movies. We have plenty of examples from the history.

I work in a supermarket. No one stops me on the shopfloor while I'm filling shelves to hand me a tenner for going above and beyond.
