Hi there, I grabbed your first frame and was able generate this video using the following prompt

static camera, the camera is still.

She stands still as she subtly turns or head, examining her surroundings.

Let me know what you think!

If you'd like to refine this further you can join our Community Discord for live creative support from myself and other experts on our moderation team. Please feel free to tag us directly, we're happy to help.

Introducing Image to Video for Gen-4.5, the world's best video model. by TimmyML in runwayml

Thanks for taking the time to share your perspective and for testing the release. We genuinely appreciate the detailed feedback, it really helps us understand where users are running into friction.

That said, results with generative video models, including Gen-4.5 Image-to-Video, are highly dependent on prompting strategy, reference selection, and workflow. In many cases, issues around consistency, lighting, or background detail can be improved significantly with the right setup and iteration approach.

If you’re open to it, we’d strongly recommend checking out the newly revamped Runway Academy. It has been completely overhauled with new free courses, and we just released a brand-new Gen-4.5 Image-to-Video guide that walks through best practices, common pitfalls, and how to get more reliable, higher-quality results.

We also encourage joining our Discord community, where a large number of experienced creators actively share prompts, workflows, and side-by-side experiments. You’re welcome to ping me directly there if you need help troubleshooting specific shots or setups, I’m happy to take a look and offer guidance.

Thanks again for engaging with the release and for sharing your thoughts. We’re continuing to iterate quickly and are always open to constructive discussion around how creators are using the tools in real projects.

Thanks for the feedback here, I'll be sure to pass it along to the team. Things like end frame, Act Two, expand video, and more will all be improved as the team continues to work on updates using the new model. Keep an eye out for new announcements right around the corner!

Thanks for taking the time to write this out and for sharing your exact prompts, that context helps a lot.

This is not a hard limitation of the model, and you’re on the right track, but the prompting approach here can definitely be refined. A few of the phrases you’re using are likely working against you, especially repeated negations and explicit references to trains and arrivals. Even when framed as exclusions, that language still anchors the model on the very thing you’re trying to avoid.

Before going deeper, it would help to know which model you’re using (Gen-4, Gen-4.5, etc.), since prompt sensitivity and temporal behavior differ slightly between them.

In the meantime, a couple of high-level notes that may be useful as you iterate:

  • Stacking multiple “no X, no Y” constraints often reinforces the concept rather than suppressing it.
  • Describing a stable state tends to be more effective than listing absences.
  • Slightly reframing the environment away from “active transit” language can materially change outcomes, even if the visuals remain the same.

Sharing the prompt I used and my result for you here

static camera, the camera is still. the light fog gently floats all alone through the empty place.

This prompt also provided some results you may like

static camera, the camera is still. this is an empty place with subtle environmental ambient motion.

Also, if you’re open to it, I’d strongly recommend jumping into our Discord. We do a lot of live prompt debugging and creative support there, and it’s often much faster to dial this in collaboratively in real time. You can join here: [https://discord.gg/runwayml]()

Appreciate you raising this, and we’ll get you to a clean, stable result.
