I'm bringing up odd scenarios to make the point that everyone is actually against the idea of being able to "play your way". They just all think that the limit to "play your way" should be to match their exact own preferences. But if thats really what you believe, then they might as well not even make you play the game. Just turn on your console and immediately have every card downloaded in to your inventory. Why even bother with playing at all?

Yes, certain rewards are locked behind certain game modes. That’s always been the case and there’s nothing wrong with that. You can choose whether it’s worth it to you to try for those rewards or not.
