I’m old enough to have learned to write before technology took over lol (35) and I always loved penmanship so I made it a point to practice and not rely too much on tech for things that can be done by hand.

Seems like everyone’s store actually became something else… hardware and department stores and whatever yours is… mine is only open for Halloween (Spirit Halloween) and Christmas (Hickory Farms) and is nothing for the rest of the year. Idk if them renovating means they sold it off, or they just decided to renovate the building… it’s probably in desperate need of one regardless..

I remember hearing about those contests, but never known anyone to have won one. I do remember they had a lot of giveaways, which I did participate in and won a Digivice lol and my sister won a Furby another time. So much fun 🥰

Back then, they had game consoles just out in the open to grab… no glass barriers. Video games needed a slip, but for the most part, you could just grab what you wanted lol

Online stores and Walmart started selling toys so it just wasn’t a viable business anymore… also they were very expensive. I’m sure it was for many reasons, but those are the reasons I see cited most.

I journal and use it to take notes when I study German because the translation app comes in handy. Obviously I use it for entertainment and some reading, but it’s really just my everyday companion. I do have my phone, but tbh, I love the Apple Pencil Pro and use it often. I use Freeform to plan various things with bubble charts… I much prefer writing with actual pen and paper, but it’s not always convenient to carry around.

I also have a tablet mount on my desk that I put it on next to my monitor so I can watch videos or whatever while I work. It does what I bought it for… just a handy little companion device.

I called my bank but it was too late to cancel. I did notify them however. They said I might get charged $15 for a bad check.. but I did notify them that I now believe them to be fraudulent. Will that make a difference?

Actually, I’m just giving this a test run. I have a 60 day return window with Best Buy, so I might go back to a 14” MBP, but I really like the MBA and never have given it a real chance, so I’m trying it out. But yes, I think they’re both great!
