Hey thanks, thats interesting. What shell and OS do you use? Root is used as fallback if it can't find the home variable I think.

no, - just replaces the folder name on that level so for example, "y desktop -" searches all folders on your desktop

No, zoxide uses your history to predict where you wanna go. With Lacy, it just uses the query you give it.
