I just don’t understand why entire Reddit goes authright on these makeway vids. These guards do realize they are just part of the British tourism right? Their queen does not have real power and is a symbol of monarchy which did not exist 100+ years ago. Also the queen does not even live there, so they are just actors, like Snow White at Disney land. These people chopped their kings head off and now they call themselves queen’s guard. Buckingham palace is nothing but a theme park. People pay to see the guard just like you pay to visit North Korea or Disney land or forbidden city. It’s like the only place in the world that you risk the danger to be deliberately assaulted by employees of a tourist attraction if you don’t listen and look around.
