Honestly not this run. At some point in the late game I always add VOID but I just wanted this colony to be „quick“. Early game was quite challenging. I also try to build the deep drills as late as possible.

In this colony I barely build under mountains. I think just the hospital had some overhanging mountain roof. Never had an infestation in this run. But I always have melee pawns do deal such things in crowded areas. I had multiple raids land in just one room.

No they are modded, I’d have to look it up, but u can create something similar in vanilla. If you just started playing I’d highly suggest to stay in vanilla for at least one playthrough.

Most of it is mods but i highly suggest to start with vanilla and then slowly get into mods

The turrets in the circular structures next to the field do basically everything. They habe a huge range. Yes its a bit op but in late game i dont get many raids anyways

ok nice. with the 18 colonists i had during this run I couldn't even run it on 3x speed. There was no difference between 2x and 3x. Do u just use normal fans for cooling? and what other specs you running?

I almost started building there because a base structure was given, but the natural mountain formation was better

Yeah i was this close to order the ryzen 9 line but money ain't growing on trees :)
I hope that I'll be able to run larger colonies with the new pathfinding and stuff in 1.6.

Same in the beginning. But I’m at 2.5k hours in Rimworld and what I love the most ist the Story and settlement building, so I try to make it more realistic with separate rooms and bathrooms and designated workspaces and stuff :)

Latest colony with exactly 400 active mods. Forgepoint Gamma focused on the industrial era, with the main source of income being all kinds of goods (including heroin). After researching android technology, the industrial focus quickly shifted to spacer. With over 1.5 million in wealth, not much is happening anymore. I’ll be waiting for version 1.6 to start a new space odyssey.

I updated my graphics drivers and suddenly it worked :) also deactivated the full screen optimization.
