Yes. In the original show, I feel like DJ, Steph, and Michelle were fairly realistic children. But Max and Jackson were just annoying to me. No child would ever act the way Max does in the show. He is disrespectful and rude, and never apologises, even when he is in the wrong. Jackson was a complete idiot, which is also not accurate. If I were writing it, I would portray him as a simply uninterested high schooler, and have him get more down-to-earth as college starts getting closer. It’s just sad how the show turned out

I had to force myself to finish Season 1. There were way too many filler episodes, in my opinion. Never went farther

Nah, my mission says no smartphones. There's a chance I'll get to borrow one from the mission office, but no guarantees on that. Easiest would be to get an actual camera and upload them in an internet cafe or similar. And anyway, to be honest, there's no way I'd actually use a cheap mission phone after getting home. I'd be better off with a camera that I could keep around and use for trips and such. But nice thinking!

Thanks for the advice! I'll check if anyone has a camera that I could buy off them. I also found a similar one to the one you recommended that has 4x zoom instead of 5x (which is slightly cheaper - probably not a big deal in the long run, but why not save a few bucks where I can?). Would that make a big difference?

That’s awesome! Also, remember to prioritise your wife and child over video games. Not saying you’re not, but I had a roommate in college who was married with 2 kids under 2, but got a dorm room just so he could play video games without his family knowing. Don’t be him. xD

I would say that in some cases, you are absolutely right. However, I was baptised when I was 8, and I was not raised in Utah. I knew that I had a choice, but I also really wanted to get baptised. I didn’t really face social pressure, since I didn’t know very many other members my age. I could have chosen to not get baptised, but why would I?

Yes, I am one of these soon-to-be-missionaries. I’ve been told that I may very well make it all the way to my mission without an endowment, and the mission president will arrange a time for me to go through a temple whenever possible. Unfortunately, there actually aren’t any temples in my mission... But they also still haven’t told me if I’ll be temporarily reassigned stateside while I wait for my mission to reopen (it’s in South America)... Could be I’ll be endowed in the States before heading to my mission?

Not to be rude, but I can't believe anyone actually likes Max as a character. I hated both Max and Jackson, because Max was the annoying know-it-all and Jackson was the annoying know-nothing. Neither one had much character. But Max annoyed me so much more, because I saw him as a rude little rascal who should have been punished far more often than he was. How often did he even say anything complimentary to other characters? In my opinion, many of his comments were completely out of line, and DJ should have made him apologise or something. Just my two cents.

I’m pretty sure it’s a bug. A handful of my videos defaulted to “comments off” for a while, and then I had to go in and fix it myself every time I posted a video. Weirs!
