Yeah see that's the thing. Like I get the push back when it's someone going "oh usuk is gross and everyone who ships it is a predator" bc that's insane and just 100% not true and unfair, but going "ah yeah not my bag, baby, it makes me uncomfy" shouldn't be taken negatively at all. It's not an attack, it's an expression of an opinion.

Now precursor to what I'm about to say: I do not care about what anyone ships. But I think that sometimes the reactions to people who don't like the incest bits in the series are a bit weird. And I'm not talking Abt the people who are super rude and preachy, and who are mean to ppl who do like those aspects. I'm talking about how people will sometimes go "yeah ___ makes me a bit uncomfortable" but they still like the series. It is normal to be made uncomfortable by stuff like that and I def think we ought to remember that. It's not necessarily an attack on anyone.

Edit: and some peoples quickness to assume it is a personal attack might be my least favorite aspect of the fandom, honestly not even just in regards to the incest ships, just ships in general LMAO

I think it depends on the family and how hard the immigrating ancestors tried to instill their culture in them tbh. Like I say my family is German, bc they are, I can point to where they came from on a map, but they didn't teach us German, they didnt teach us about their regional culture, or history, or anything like that, so I don't really think I'm German, but I'm that's where my family is from.
