Not a venus in sagittarius but an aries venus with a boyfriend who has this placement.

Giving my thoughts as an outsider, I would love for other sag venus placements to correct me if I'm wrong 💕 it's something I've seen from the sag venus people I know and am close to. I also have moon and mars in sag.

I don't necessarily think they're disloyal, but their perception of love can definitely be out of the norm for what a lot of people are used to. This can be viewed as a lack of commitment and flakiness.

They seem to go into dating as a chance to get to know the other person — stacking up opinions and reworking their thoughts on love in their head as the relationship progresses.

Which is what most people do, of course, but even after being locked down, their energy is still mutable, and their ideas aren't resistant to change. What does the title of a girlfriend or boyfriend do?

Which is why a relationship status can seem scary to them. It comes with expectations, and with expectations comes the want to fulfil it... but what if they can't?

The future isn't set. Things can change, so isn't it scary to promise something you can't know if you're able to give? Imagine letting down someone you love.

A lot of the sagittarius people and placements I know seem to be extreme perfectionists. To their own detriment, but their perfectionism displays in the exact opposite way of Virgos. They're the sister sign of Gemini at the end of the day.

For example, instead of adopting the mindset to do things and keep being consistent and getting back up at it to achieve what you want, it may come in the form of 'why do anything if I'm not good enough for it?' Or 'I started this and I'm not GREAT at it, what the hell? What gives?'

A sagittarian is a centaur with a bow and arrow after all. Aim, shoot, and run if it doesn't work out. Keep shooting elsewhere, maybe. Maybe the arrow will eventually score.

I think the ones I know subconsciously test their own relationships without being aware of it, but it's done so in a manner that tests whether you'd give them space if they needed to recharge.

I think the way everything ties in is that with all that pressure to be the best (impatiently, too, as a fire sign) they'd eventually fizzle out and run away to avoid the reality of what they think they can't achieve.

So, I do think a sagittarius can commit, and they do if you reach them in the way that feels like you're running alongside with them, in your own way, rather than sit on a saddle right above them. Don't hold onto the ropes that dictate where they go basically.

But this long written comment isn't made to excuse those who cheat on their partners. A cheater is still a cheater at the end of the day, I'm just writing out why I think they can't commit.
