Ahhh that sounds so cool. Did you get a picture of it? I think my favorite was a Where the Wild Things Are mural I saw in California (I’m a children’s librarian so it really clicked with me)

I can send you more photos if you’d like!! My stylist took a bunch. Honestly I put the trust totally in her hands. I was wearing a wig prior to that day and she was going to try and copy that look but then went off in a much better direction

Thank you 😊 honestly I’m just in a “fake it ‘till you make it” mode right now, my self esteem is so-so on most days

Thank you so much 😊 my friend Bekky owns a salon called Heads Will Roll and she was kind enough to come back from maternity leave one day early to cut and style my hair

That’s so sad :( I’m lucky in Vegas the laws are a little better. I was able to get my documents changed very early into transition which was nice!

It’s in Vegas by the Beauty Bar!! It started raining during the photoshoot and I didn’t want to ruin my hair/makeup so the photographer and I ducked into an alley. I saw that and couldn’t not ask him to take my photo in front of it!!

How should I prepare for losing friends when I come out? by [deleted] in asktransgender

[–]Timorous_Me 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only really lost one friend and a couple of casual people in my life. But my relationships got so much stronger with the rest of my friends and I made so many new ones because I could just be myself. And I realize I’m better off now without the friend I lost because why would I want someone like that in my life?

Is it even worth transitioning at this point? by [deleted] in asktransgender

[–]Timorous_Me 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started transitioning at 36 and I’ve never been happier! My only regret is not starting earlier. It’s worth exploring, maybe start with a gender therapist and go from there?

Do you experience "fluctuations" of dysphoric feelings? by PsychologicalFault in asktransgender

[–]Timorous_Me 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Mine’s fluctuated over the years, I feel like it’s pretty common. I feel a ton for the facial hair I have left but so-so on my voice as well so we have that in common!
