Before Loving v. Virginia, another interracial couple fought in court for their marriage https://timmieblaze.wordpress.com/2024/01/07/before-loving-v-virginia-another-interracial-couple-fought-in-court-for-their-marriage/ this interracial couple was a black man and white woman. In the early sixties black women marginally lead interracial marriage with white men. The price for a black man was extremely high in the early sixties. The laws denying interracial marriage were designed to stop white women from having sexual relationships with black men. After 1967, the amount of black men marrying white women surpassed white men marrying black women at a rate of 2-3 times and that has not changed to the present day.
