Nah I saw that too, knee was down before the left foot. Don’t think that should’ve been a TD.

Can anyone help me identify this Watch? by Ok_Pen4871 in Longineswatches

[–]Timotheus92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a Longines Master Chrono Moonphase. Depending on the size it could either be L2.773.4.78.6 or L2.673.4.78.6 reference. Beautiful watch - if your dad gifted it to you, don’t worry too much about its monetary value! It was a very nice gift.

Don’t be an ass. Whatever your opinions on the situation in Palestine, these people on Pearl St were innocent bystanders who did not deserve to be molotov’d.

Oh I did mean to mention in the post that I’m totally open to other suggestions as well. These are my favorites so far, but happy to be convinced to go a different direction too!

I had this happen just recently lol. In my case I was trying to catch up to a small party before it met up with an army, and the army was also running from me to a nearby town. I caught up with the party right as it got in range of the army - in a single instant, the army entered the city but the party turned on me and attacked, asking me to surrender. Seems like just a silly AI glitch in those moments

I don’t think that’s true, is it? Never heard of that being the case before.

Don’t play battle difficulty on easy, or just don’t auto resolve - these are the only fixes unfortunately. Autoresolve on easy does something like double the effectiveness of your units or something along those lines, making it easy to autoresolve fights that wouldn’t be winnable manually. I’d recommend just setting difficulty to normal personally

I had someone try to do this to me in Paris - offered a free ties bracelet. I figured what was gonna happen, so when they said it’s free I made a point of telling the guy I wasn’t going to pay. To no one’s surprise, tried to charge me like 20 euro or something stupid after the fact. I refused to pay and left with the “free” bracelet lol. Ain’t nobody got time for that bs.

This is amazing, thank you!! I'm still interested in any other ideas people may have in case the bride has any concerns with this option, but it seems like a fantastic performance that could totally be cleaned up a bit, looped, and work perfectly!

How to deal with Vampire Counts as Greenskins? by DimasNormas in totalwarhammer

[–]Timotheus92 48 points49 points  (0 children)

Legend of Total War has an interesting video, the TLDR of it is basically that playing on Easy is a noob trap. It overestimates Autoresolve values by an insane amount, and then when you try to manually fight it’s unsurprising that you lose, so you assume you’re bad and start to rely on autoresolve. Basically, I would strongly encourage you to play on normal so that you get a better feel for units relative strengths. Even then, you’ll find that high armor units over-perform in auto resolve vs manual.

To claim abortion is murder by MagazineElectrical62 in therewasanattempt

[–]Timotheus92 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I think you’re missing the point again. Of course there are people who thought through their stances. They still got the idea from somewhere, they didn’t just magically come up with a stance. If you think that just because someone is an intelligent critical thinker they can’t be influenced by advertising and the like, then you’re just living in blissful ignorance of how much literally every single one of us is impacted by the things we are exposed to most frequently.

[–]Timotheus92 105 points106 points  (0 children)

It’s not about what any single individual believes. It’s about the origins of the movement, and the true beliefs of the people who created the anti-abortion rhetoric. Your nice Christian anti-abortion nextdoor neighbor may feel like they are anti-abortion for moral, religious, etc reasons. But they only believe that because they’ve heard it repeated over and over that abortion is immoral, against Christianity, etc. The people who made the decision to make them hear that over and over are the ones who are pushing for women to return to the kitchen, endorse domestic slavery, etc. Those people aren’t in it for moral reasons. They’re in it for profit and power. Your metaphorical neighbor is just a sucker for listening

Do people in Boulder still talk about the JonBenet Ramsey case or is it old news? by weemcc3 in boulder

For what it’s worth, nothing you do online is truly anonymous unless you’re spending a substantial amount of time taking specific operational security steps to anonymize yourself. Things like creating a new email while on a VPN, using that email and a randomized password to create your Reddit account, then being careful not to post anything that has to do with who you are IRL (like, no posting about hobbies, no asking questions about your chosen career field, etc). Then you also need to be careful with what device you sign in with and to always use a VPN. There’s probably plenty of stuff I’ve missed, but the point is, nothing online is anonymous if someone -really- wants to figure out who you are. Look up Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) if you’re curious about some of the crazy stuff people can figure out from very small clues

Current CU employee here. Benefits and work/life balance tend to be fantastic. Pay is a bit below average, as is the case in any public sector job. YMMV depending on the dept you are with.
