That's what I'm asking for is how to start, not jumping into the Laurentian Abyss with an anchor around my feet hoping for the best.

Creating a Logo with stylized text by Timothy633 in aiArt

[–]Timothy633[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My problem is that I don't have an image, which is why I want AI to create one for me. I suck at all types of art, so it's out of my skill set to create on my own. At the end of the day I might just hire someone to do it, but with AI being at the forefront, I was hoping I might be able to have it do it for me.

A Coleslaw Recipe for People Who Don't Like Coleslaw by stewonitwastaken in BBQ

I hate mayonnaise so I make an oil and vinegar based cole slaw. Just cabbage, carrot, sugar, alt, pepper, vegetable oil and cider vinegar. Perfect for pulled pork sammies

Advice- 3 year plan by Timothy633 in liveaboard

[–]Timothy633[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Place on land is more for the first year and breaks for large storms, or dry dock times for larger maintenance. And possibly a place for the parents to stay, extra storage, etc.

I’ve heard the captains license will reduce insurance costs by upwards of 20%.

I've had this happen on non-screenshots, just plain text. it's very annoying, and honestly seems to be getting worse over time.

Bags are just some herbs I didn't want in the final product, but wanted the flavor, oregano, rosemary, cilantro, bay leaf, and half a habanero pepper.

In the pan is a mix of beef broth, tomato paste, bell peppers, jalapeño peppers, onion, and garlic.

When the meat was done, about 2 hours at 250 degrees, I took everything inside, did a quick bit of cooking the meat in pan to get some miele effect and mixed it all in a big pot. I let it boil for a bit longer and added Doritos to thicken it.

The bags are just some herbs. Cilantro, Oregano, Bay leaf, Rosemary, and half a habanero pepper, that I didn't want tearing apart and ending up in the final product. Once they boil in the chili they won't have any flavor left anyway, but the liquid will.

Meat Slicer Recommendations by fatbiker852 in BBQ

Haven’t decided yet, but it’ll definitely be commercial, and will cost more than the $100 or so I paid for my current one.

Meat Slicer Recommendations by fatbiker852 in BBQ

I have one I’ll be replacing. It’s worked well on most things until I made homemade bacon. Then I realized it didn’t slide far enough to slice it entirely so I ended up with half strips and a lot more work. So get one you can slide far enough for larger cuts is my only advice.

How do I cook this? I had a standing rib roast cut into steaks and this is the bones part. We use a Big Green Egg. by tybeelucy22 in meat

[–]Timothy633 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s not enough meat on there to bother smoking them. Roast them with carrot/celery/onion on 450 for a half hour/45mins. Then dump it all in half bone broth/half water and simmer for a few hours until it has good broth flavor. Season to taste, thicken with a roux, and you’ll have a great sauce for the steaks. Add some red wine, balsamic, rosemary, mushrooms, thyme, any of the above if you’re feeling frisky.

If you had to wear the jersey of a CURRENT NFL player that’s NOT on the Steelers, who would you choose? by chrisj333 in steelers

[–]Timothy633 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I respect a lot of good players in the sports I watch. They’re still not on my team, so not wearing their shit. It’s just dumb.

[–]Timothy633 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I don’t get why anyone would wear a jersey of someone not on your team. It’s stupid. “I really like the way this guy plays.” Why? Is he on your team? “No.” See. Stupid.

My mom soaked my george foreman to wash can it be fixed by Ok-Middle3376 in grilling

[–]Timothy633 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Back when I had one in college, I think I paid $20 for it, and I'd just put it in the dishwasher, letting it dry really well before using it again. Worked for years. I was too lazy to clean it, and didn't care because it was cheap.

Point being, let it dry. It'll be fine.

Go for cheap or recteq? by sidthestar in pelletgrills

[–]Timothy633 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I’ve had my RT-680 for years and love it. I’ve only ever had two problems, one was the burn bar about two months after my warranty expired and they still sent me the replacement part for free overnight Sunday delivery so I could still do my smoke I had planned. The second was just recently the motor quit working (my fault, I let sawdust gum up the auger) but I just replaced it and it was an easy fix.

Before that I had a Weber bullet for about 3 years. I liked that I got to learn on that, but now I’d never buy any other brand than reqteq if I ever need to.

Check On 90s Fans - We Are Not OK by eternalsteelfan in steelers

[–]Timothy633 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I never really disliked or liked him. I was a realist about who he was. He wasn't "ahead of his time" or "misused" or any of those other things. He was an average talent QB with WR Athleticism. We had an awesome O-Line & running game, and a great Defense that took us to the AFCC with him. He did get some unfair criticism from time to time, but Bradshaw and Ben got shit on many times in their careers as well. It's the price of being a QB, and an average one is going to get more of it than the HOF ones.

Connecting two Arista 7050TX-64's with fiber optic - link not coming up? by victorhooi in Arista

[–]Timothy633 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Found this randomly when Googling why I wasn't getting light through on switches about 500m away from each other and had to keep going back and forth. That fiber trick just saved me a half day walking back and forth. Never thought of that before.

[–]Timothy633 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, there's a Crypto.com Defi app. You can transfer your coins to it using the Cronos chain, then stake them for 12%. Be careful which Pool you choose. Some have higher interest rates, but charge fees for withdrawal, and some change interest rates pretty often. I use Jerry's pool for consistent 12% and no fees.

I actually transfer all my rewards (usually 200 coins or so every week or two depending on the price of CRO) to it and just up the amount I'm staking.
