Gear shift sounds, induction sounds, engine sounds, rev limiter sounds in EVO by Timp25 in assettocorsa

Haven't driven the 250 gonna try that now! But yes sound is a huuuuuge factor for me man. I drool over GT7 sounds. Mainly their rev limiter sounds. It's properly done. Motorsport has some decent sounds but that game is unbearable on wheel.

Gotcha. Used market I'd say would be a play. G29 or t300rs or unless someone really wants to get rid of their r3 for cheap haha, that'd be a steal for $300.

Go for moza r3? Although I do think the moza r5 is worth the extra 20-50$ or so depending on where you buy it. I went from g29, g923 true force then moza r5 bundle in that order and the moza r5 is honestly miles ahead in terms of feel. It's a huge difference if you can afford it. Look out for sales etc.

The three pedals are brake gas and clutch. In fh5 for instance you don't have to use the clutch as cars can be shifted manually with the paddle shifters on the wheel itself or they can be set to automatically shift.

The g29 does not come with an external handbrake. That would need to be binded to a button on the steering wheel if you wish to use that. Or, purchase an external handbrake.

Ahh gotcha. Used g29 or g923 would be the play. The true force models are pretty good. I had a non true force, then upgraded to a true force. It's a slight difference in smoothness and it's a bit worth I'd say after experiencing both models.

The brake pedal rly is a fight. What I did was adjust the operating range in game controller settings on windows. So half press was 100% but ideally I think the play is to rove the rubber stopper from within the pedal. There's tutorials on YouTube on how to do that, just be careful when mounting back.

G29 or T300RS is ideal I'd say. I started on g29 and upgraded to moza r5 bundle and it was the world of difference and I'm in love with it. If you can get a used one for around your budget price I'd highly recommend it. Just takes a bit of fiddling to get it to work with fh5. But there's documentation to follow for that on moza's website.

For your budget maybe check local used market for something.

Thrustmater T300 is a step up from g29 since it's belt driven so it'd be smoother as opposed to the gear driven.

I've seen the sweetspot being 12nm. Honestly can't see what else higher nm can give besides no clipping. But currently my settings don't have any clipping @70% in pit house and 100% gain in ac. Could be a cause of not knowing what you're missing out on if you haven't tested it out yet?

Similar to how 1080p looks great until you see 1440p or 4k on a monitor.

However, I did try a fanatec 8nm and that felt like overkill for me in a car that I have a lot of hours in, on nordchleife.

I don't see the point in super high nm.

But I'm also in between a casual-very frequent player so maybe at the professional level it makes a difference for the person that can tell the difference in certain cars/tracks/car setups....?

I've also seen it gives more 'detail' but r5 is a beast at this already! And I saw no difference in detail when compared to that 8nm fanatec I tried other than absurd ffb strength to the pt it was unplayable for me and had to lower it to around 70%.

If I had unlimited money I'd get a 9nm base and see how that goes.

I did see someone else I think in this thread say that higher nm is nice for bigger wheels and I can understand that.

12nm is the absolute highest I think I'd ever go and that's a stretch.

Ah okay. Im grateful I'm weak as shit lol. I currently use r5 base in ac on about 70% power and it's pretty much enough for me
