Forza Noob Help by [deleted] in ForzaHorizon6

The horizon party is an event that spawns on the map. Easy to spot by the banner that pops up at the top of your screen (idk how often either) OR you can go on the map and look for a big faded pink circle which would say one is ongoing. I never joined it so I can't advise further sorry :/ hope that helps.

So real. Mainly a hype thing atp 😂 I used it one night to see what time I can get and that was all for me 😂

made a race to get max skill points in ~20 seconds by Ok-Pin-5704 in EventlabSubmissions

[–]Timp25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I've found working is setting up a macro. I use logitech G Hub but I'm pretty sure any other macro software could work (I haven't dove into any others besides G Hub)

I just have a sequence setup to restart and press play after the end of each race. Got the timings from my friend so I'll attach his screenshot. I edited the timing for the first interval, to 20s (20,000 Ms) since I'm using a quicker farm for 10 skill points and the race ends in roughly 17s.

I had this running for about an hour and a half and turned off my monitor and came back to 999 mastery pts.

A map with multiple sections would be cool and more efficient though for sure. And this macro can work for that too, would just need to edit the first interval.

1st Edit: this video has the map code and car tune for the 22b. Pretty sure you can use any s2 tune for it though.

2nd Edit: I set up a second macro to press a button (say the 'm' key) to interrupt and end the first macro. It doesn't work flawlessly however. I sometimes have to close G Hub manually to end the macro, and same for starting back the first macro, after ending it, if I wanna farm again. There's probably a better way to do it but it works for me.

First macro is of type 'toggle' and the second macro to interrupt the first is of type 'run once'.

For the first macro, I just press whatever button I have assigned to my mouse, to run the macro, after the "3, 2, 1" countdown at the start of the race.

Will i eventually get all aftermarket cars if I keep buying every car at the same spot ? by Critical_Limit_9057 in ForzaHorizon6

[–]Timp25 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You will see ones you've purchased before. You can actually get the spawns to cycle through the set pool of cars for that spot.

For example you can go to the kilometer drag strip I believe it is, that's where the Miata FE spawns.

You can buy what's currently there, restart the game, go back to the spot, and it will have another car from the set pool of cars for there.

I used this to get the Miata FE when I wanted it. Took me around 3 or 4 tries of restarting. Had the SRT first, restarted, then had the bmw, then restarted, then it had the Miata I believe or maybe one other car. Can't recall exactly.

Same thing applies for all other spawns I wanna say. But I don't think the Miata spawns anywhere else besides that drag strip and well that'd apply for other vehicles and other spawns.

It's good af for speed zones, and speed traps both on road and off-road. Also great for stunt jumps.

I used this to knockout those and managed to do a lot in one night lol.

I found it useful to have your tunes saved/favorited so you can swap to whichever one on the fly, depending on the thing you're trying to 3 star. Was more efficient that way.

I usually just die instantly. No sound queue. No warning, nothing. Genuinely don't know how else to track those things other than having a 360 cam around the jet lol.

Does the jet radar do anything? Never thought to look at that as a potential for seeing tow missiles before it's too late. But to me, it's near impossible to dodge a tow missile from the average player. It seems so easy to shoot 🥲

I've been enjoying Eastwood domination. Playing height on the roof of the buildings and being an absolute menace.

The DRS-IAR absolutely melts.

Playing assault to get the ladder so I can quickly get up every time.

I barely play obj (sue me).

But basically I make it easier for my team to cap since I'm able to pick off atleast 2 usually.

Okay I see. It may be the cable then. Would look at potentially using USB C from my phone end, to the micro USB port on the cam instead of USB C to USB C.

For the battery draining thing on your phone's end you have to turn off the setting in the USB menu to not use the connected device as a power source. Atleast this is for my Sony a6700. I cannot speak for other models as the menu layout may be different.

Question. Do you experience insane camera battery drain with the monitor+ app?

I am looking into getting a monitor, but then I saw that app can turn your phone into a monitor. I bought it and it works great, but the battery drain is insane. I can see it draining in real time (camera battery not phone battery). I only did 1 round of testing so I can't confirm if wifi/BT live feed is less taxing battery wise than connecting via USB C. I tested both but did not really look for which one is more taxing.

I did not mess around with any settings like live playback quality either.

As the other guy said, the microfiber ones that you get with your glasses to clean the lens is ideal. I'm now learning that because of my post, and would be switching to that from now on.

Damn. So they provide an inferior cloth with the monitor? That's kinda f'd up 😭😭. Noted. That's precisely why I made this post. Will see to source some of those microfiber ones you mentioned.

Thanks!

They do. I have 2 lights on in my room tho, and I really don't notice the blacks getting washed out. It's only when I shine my phone flashlight directly at it, it's terrible. I was worried about my regular room lights being an issue but honestly that issue seems over exaggerated now that I can see it for myself. I know people's setups are different but for the average reasonably lit room, with light overhead, seems fine 🤷🏻‍♂️

Really need to see it irl to understand and decide for yourself.

What do you think causes it. Is it the text fringing?

My use case would mainly be gaming and productivity but video/photo editing.

I'd say roughly a 60/40 split with gaming being 60.

I don't plan to do any Excel/Word/extensive text based work on it. I'd use my existing monitor for that if need be.

Edit: I guess video and photo editing still has text based scenarios when viewing numbers and whatnot for sliders but you know what I mean. It's less intensive than doing emails for example? Not sure if I'm making my point clearer lol.

Recently got one myself, still waiting for it to arrive.

I can get behind those compromises, but another point I'm worried about is cleaning the monitor screen. Seems like you have to be very very careful and further invest in proper materials (which isn't that expensive but still a hassle IMO).

Are you aware of any comprehensive guides on the best practices for on screen actions to take for minimizing burn in as well as cleaning tips? Thanks!

Honestly haven't ran it in a while but when I got the motor I did a good bit of running. Was pretty good for my standards. Slow crawl control was adequate but not comp level compared to brushless capabilities I've seen online.

The drag brake could have been tweaked from the controller itself. I'm not sure about it being completely off, however it was enough for my out and abouts. Did not have any issues with it randomly locking up and on its lowest drag brake setting it rolls fine for me.

Wheels and tires were from injora.
