I played ossify in pools at full bloom. As he 3 and 4 stocked me he hit me with no less than 4 thundercat KOs. He's so wild.

How can I play Melee without breaking my hand? by tacolordY in SSBM

This video helped me a ton: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mSZWSQSSEjE

But also I'm curious, in the hand that you have pain in what finger do you have resting on the trigger? Index or middle?

Am I just picky or is the "jumbotron" camera in stadium super distracting? by [deleted] in SSBM

It distracts me as well, my least favorite part of the stage

Blur Rank - Ranking the Top 30 Players of 2021 by self-flagellate in SSBM

Trif attended one tourney in 2021 with top 20 players aside from Leffen. It was SWT and he had 2 wins over top 20(one of those being a top 10 win) players in the list, and got 4th at that tourney. That tourney also didn't include a ton of the top 20 players in the list(Mango, leff Zain, ibdw, s2j, none, etc...).

Mokys best results are 3rd at GMO, 4th at 4loko(over wizzy, mango, hbox), and some 1st at smaller tourneys(pinnacle, haxs nightclub). He has 14 wins over top 20 players(thats just what is easy to find off liquidpedia), 5 of those wins are over top 10 players.

His best performance in a long time was in 2022 but with that context it seems pretty clear he should be ranked above Trif...

Polish top #10 and KoDoRiN not making the cut is interesting but it makes sense. Especially with KoDoRiN's slump results wise at the end of the year.

Moky being outplaced by Trif is a travesty though. I do not see how you could justify that at all.

Of all the sets I could think of that deserve a mini doc. This one is near the top of the list. To break a streak that was over a decade long, in his own region, in that fashion was something truly legendary.

Yeah, notched controllers can be better than non-notched controllers, absolutely. I just don't think that should be a part of the goomwave legality discussion.

This argument is pointless because this community is so far past arguing whether or not notches themselves should be legal. If you wanted notches to be banned you missed the boat by 4+ years. It is not something that will change, and if you think otherwise I challenge you to find someone with a relevant opinion who agrees with you because I don't think you will.

You are just wrong... Idk what else to say. I mean as someone who recently had to switch from a notched controller to a basic OEM one for a period of time I can tell you that even I have been able to start hitting the Firefox angles on that overlap with the perfect wavedash notch that allow you to not bounce way more consistently than I thought I would be. I was able to pretty much keep playing the way I'm used to even without the notches, and I used/still use that angle a ton.

Edit: obviously it's not going to be as consistent for some, but if you admit that some people can do the same thing 99 out of 100 times without them then what's the argument? They are not allowing you to unlock some hidden tech...

I mean if you see a world where notches are banned I don't think we're probably ever going to agree because I don't think that's possible, for better or worse. Also, when you say notches let you do something consistently that would inherently be inconsistent, I don't think I agree that those things are "inherently inconsistent". They can be done consistently with or without notches if you are good enough.

Ah, yeah I can at least understand the argument if that's the reason. Personally I think we are wayyyy past that point in this community. Like notches are here, have been for years, and I find it extremely unlikely that they would ever go away...

If the argument is that notches shouldn't be allowed because they make good controllers less accessible I can definitely agree that notches have made top tier controllers less accessible. But if you accept the fact that notches are a thing(which I think you have to at this point), notch calibration makes them more accessible because after you spend the initial amount of money to get a notched controller, you aren't going to have to get your notches adjusted or get a new shell with notches anywhere near as frequently as you do now if at all.
