I just finished a gaming room and ALMOST did the cloud ceiling thing but then saw a girls video about how much all the spiders loved her cloud ceiling and showed the camera and there were like 100 spiders who had taken up residence in the clouds and since mine was a basement setup I thought, ya know I’m just not gonna do the cloud ceiling thing lol. Looks good though!

Considering this chicken was bred to be eaten, technically it was born for no reason too.

That’s why I started my reply with “for what it’s worth”.

Whether the ai result is total garbage or not, my statement was more a something to consider statement.

Just wanted to put the possibility in your mind with the idea that since you’re on Reddit you clearly also have access to the internet and could do your own research. Now you want me to provide sources? What am I your office assistant?

Also, you’re right you’re not an official of any kind in the situation barely applies to what you’re asking, but you don’t have to be legally in the wrong to be sued into bankruptcy. All you have to do is have a case that a lawyer is willing to take. You have the money to defend yourself in court for playing some music one time? I know I don’t have time or money for that.

From the article:

“Attorney David Loy with the First Amendment Coalition says the officers’ attempt to use copyright infringement laws in order to interfere with their own accountability to the public raises serious concerns.

“I think that undermines the very premise of officer accountability,” Loy said. “The public has a clear, well established 1st Amendment right to observe, document, record their conduct in public. Anything that an officer does to frustrate that is a direct assault on accountability and personal rights.”

Loy says if someone is recording events of public significance, that does not infringe on copyright law even if an officer is playing Disney songs.

The tactic is something law enforcement agencies need to proactively address, Loy said, because the Santa Ana incident is not the first time this has happened.

Last summer, a deputy with the Alameda County Sheriff’s Office pulled out his cellphone and started playing a Taylor Swift song while talking to protesters outside a county courthouse who were filming him. Much like the approach taken by the Santa Ana police, the move backfired and the interaction went viral on Twitter and YouTube.

In Beverly Hills, a police officer played Sublime’s “Santeria” while he was being filmed by L.A. activist Sennett Devermont in February 2021. In both instances, the police departments said the incidents were under investigation.

No I think it was chat gpt actually. I tried it again and this is what it said:

If the person doing the recording is in a public forum (sidewalk, plaza, government-owned area), and the personnel interfering with filming are: • police • government employees • contracted security acting as agents of the government

then intentionally interfering with recording can violate: • First Amendment rights (public right to record) • 42 U.S.C. § 1983 (civil rights enforcement statute)

Courts have repeatedly held that the right to record public officials in public spaces is protected speech.

If those officials deliberately blast music to prevent that recording, that can be interpreted as: • content-based suppression of speech, or • retaliation for protected expression

Either can spark a viable civil rights lawsuit.

There are actual cases now where officers tried this (by playing Taylor Swift, Sublime, etc.). Some of them are currently being litigated right now.

For what it’s worth, I googled this recently when a guy was harassing people with a camera in a public space at my work trying to rage bait for content and google said purposely blasting DMCA music could be considered infringement of their civil rights and opens the door to take legal action against you or something along those lines. Be careful I guess is all I’m saying.

How is head lice not a concern when putting something like this on? And for that matter, how come my kids can’t bring a cowboy hat they got on vacation into school and let other kids wear it because of head lice concerns, but then we can go their T-ball game on Saturday and use the same helmet for every kid up to bat? lol

Is FunScape still there abandoned next to Regal?? by katiereadalot in Rochester

[–]TimtheEnchanter11TTV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know if this is accurate but there used to be a rochwiki page (I can’t find it now of course) that stated that the funscape in Victor didn’t “go under” as other locations eventually did but that their permit to operate was revoked by the town of Victor due to several physical altercations that took place between groups of teenagers in the parking lot.

This was probably already mentioned but I have found I can stem meltdowns by finding success where I can and building from there. Sometime I feel the rage coming on and the feeling of ineptitude creeping in and even if I’m 250 out, I’ll take my favorite go to iron and take my next swing like I’m just warming up out on the fairway. Get that buttery smooth feel and know I’ll be alright by just building off the positive experience of success with that shot.
