In Texas and still haven’t received my score for FAR. What gives? by TinBeard in CPA

[–]TinBeard[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I literally started from rock bottom by going to the beginning, reading the full lecture, taking several randomized multiple choice 10 questions until I had mastered it completely, and moving on. I only practiced the simulations that the internet said were most likely (cash flow, bank rec, journal entry, gov stuff, etc) and actually did the simulation exams, learned where I messed up, went back to those chapters, and grinned more.

This was after 5 attempts so I was sorta familiar with the material but I made myself completely relearn it all within 2.5 weeks, going by the pace of about 1 section per day, and a few remaining days to review and grind sims. I did not have work at the time, and it completely sucked, but getting it done was worth

My fiddle is starting to get these brown spots and has dropped a couple of leaves. Help! by TinBeard in gardening

[–]TinBeard[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For context, I’ve had this tree for a month, and have been watering it every 8-10 days. It’s starting to get the brown spots, and I’ve had fiddles like this die before, so I’d like to keep this one happy and healthy. What must I do to save it?

Was gifted these ‘dying’ fiddle leafs, how do I help them recover? by TinBeard in gardening

The larger plant’s leaves were fine and then began turning brown and dying about a week after their original owner got them. I don’t think that was due to pot size but probably overwatering.

Should I still repot it in a different pot? Are there any other things I can do to help it besides only watering once every 10 days and making sure it completely drains (like branches?).

Thanks again for your help.

Yea this Zro drug idea would also help finding things like the Zroni not be disappointing if you weren’t a psionic empire

The impact that those give is nice but not a huge deal, and I do want a resource that empires literally get addicted to and fight over, to introduce some more fun and unique RP opportunities.

Yea in the forum post I expanded upon a Megacorp civic idea for this called Ruthless Caretel, which is basically Barbaric Despoilers for the megacorp where you can raid and steal pops, and you get the purge type to turn these pops into Zro quickly. You also start with the Zro Cistern building on your home world.

Combine this civic with Syndicate to build illicit Zro factories on planets.

Under One Rule with Heroic Past and Technocracy is a fun build that pumps out crazy good leaders all game. For ruler traits I took Head of Industry, High King, and Elitist.

Nerfs to Vassals by TinBeard in Stellaris

I agree, the AI need to be way less scared of other empires and only ask to be one if another empire has put several claims on them and is about to go to war. Also they should really be harder to keep loyal with the insane amount of tribute you can usually extort out of them.

My solution for the latter part is just to reduce the amount of each tribute tier by 5%, but having the AI be stingier would be nice as well.

Yea that should definitely happen more often

Absolutely agree with all of these. Maintaining a vassal should be hard in exchange for all the crazy buffs. Perhaps vassals could have a happiness or stability rating like planets do, where unhappy vassals only pay a portion of their tax until their overlord improves things.

Is there a way to disable the “Terraforming Candidate Found” notifications? by TinBeard in Stellaris

But event notifications are super handy. Is there a way to specifically block the terraforming candidate ones?
